You're cherry picking one game to try and prove a point, I don't think anybody is saying that he had his best 11 for every game.

The defeats in that period which were a surprise were West Ham and Swansea at home, we should have had enough about us to win those two games and we had most of the team playing who had played when we finished 5th, it had nothing to do with us not having players who we hadn't even signed at that time.

You've just compared Pardew to Keegan.

He's probably got a goals to games ratio similar to Shaka Hislop.

I'm not bothered who the players is, they all deserve the decency of an explanation when we look to get rid of them. I'm glad that we've got rid of Jonas, although that will change if I have to watch Obertan again. What I'm not happy with is a player, especially one who has done his best for us, doesn't seem to have been shown the courtesy and decency of being told why. He has been told that he's no longer needed and what Pardew has been quoted as saying since he's left would have been better said to the player.

It clearly did need to be explained to him in the way you suggest, or at least in a better way than it appears to have been put across to him. Who replaces him is irrelevant to how he's told that he's no longer needed. Do you really need this explaining to you?

I'm referring to his treatment at the end, he has been treated well most of the time he's been here.

He didn't have to be told that he's no longer good enough, it doesn't have to be one or the other. I don't see how this could have been handled better than it appears to have been handled.

I think he deserved more than a "hint."

Jonas isn't on a rolling contract and other players have disappeared, only to come back.

You don't know the circumstances of what has happened so how can you claim you would be happy? How do you know Jonas felt his performances had deteriorated? He was asked by his manager to do a job and he did it, and for most of last season and at the start of this season was getting picked. Why should he feel anything but the manager being happy with his performances?

I don't see any connection with the two situations and two wrongs don't make a right.
