You're happy to avoid a relegation battle, that's the limit of your ambition. Outside the usual suspects, like Swansea and Wigan who both won domestic cups last season?
-
When we finished 5th we brought in Cisse who buried everything he hit, who is going to do that this time? Do you seriously think we can finish 5th?
-
We're out of the last competition we were capable of getting anywhere in and we've dropped out at the first hurdle, again. The only thing we have left to play for is a place in Europe and we'll be relying on teams above us winning the cups to give more European places to the league. Other than that, we've nothing to play for. 5th January 2014 and it looks like our season will stutter on to it's meaningless end, again.

I was lucky enough to see him play against us and I probably only went to the game because he was playing. Everybody was talking about him before the game and he was thought of as one of the best players in the world.

Eusebio: Portugal football legend dies aged 71 Portugal football legend Eusebio, who was top scorer at the 1966 World Cup, has died at the age of 71. Born in Mozambique in 1942 when it was still a Portuguese colony, Eusebio da Silva Ferreira went on to play 64 times for Portugal, scoring 41 goals. The Benfica striker's nine goals at the 1966 World Cup in England included four against North Korea. He was widely considered one of the best players of all-time. Eusebio, the 1965 European Footballer of the Year, won the European Cup with Benfica in 1962 and was in the side that lost to Manchester United in the 1968 Wembley final.

You're the perfect customer, you're barking mad.

Our record at bringing kids through is pathetic and shows no signs of improvement, if we are going to bring kids through it looks like they're going to have to go out to other clubs to develop.
-
My eyes are streaming watching that.
-
The same tossers will be the ones singing for Pardew, Shola and Nicky Butt when he was here and shite.
-
Nobody will ever convince me that he's not better than some of the players who have had game time since he last did.
-
It was a piss take, unfortunately.
-
Totally right, Pardew just can't motivate the players and we see that in the league this season with the results we get when we play the better teams and show some bottle.
-
I didn't go today and didn't miss it, I've got to make a decision next month about next season and I think I might call it a day. I've supported us when we've been much worse but I always had hope that things would get better. At the minute we're happy just to avoid relegation and that's not good enough.

He should be under shit loads of pressure, he isn't and he'll not be while pricks sing for him to wave at them.
-
He's telling people what to think, as usual, some our educationally challenged will swallow it.
-
No, the news is on now.
-
It's true, that's why I posted it.
-
Slaughter Pardew or I'll slaughter you on here, be warned, I'm listening.
-
Anybody who still supports Pardew deserves days like today.
-
He's almost certain to start against Man City unless we go with a 5 man midfield, that is the only thing barring an injury that will keep him out.
-
He's just a shit manager and today is just another indication of that and not a one off, our record in this competition under him is shocking.
-
That's a canny description of a shite football manager, he wants to win a cup but can't get out of the early rounds as often as we do.
-
Pardew's just been outdone by a bloke who has been in his job a matter of hours and has just managed a game in England for the first time after watching his players once.
