  1. Aye, he's just randomly name dropped Bobby when talking about himself.
  2. Positive or not it's bullshit, still, some fall for it.
  3. Absolutely nothing at all, obviously. He doesn't even compare himself to Bobby at all. Of course he doesn't. "Bobby Robson brought that to this job and for me that's the beacon for me to make sure I uphold those traditions."
  4. Pardew trying to compare himself to Bobby.
  5. I haven't a clue what you're getting at.

    Loïc Remy

One was excellent for us, the other is excellent for us and I couldn't choose between them.
  7. I didn't read your earlier post, sorry.
  8. I'm not bothered how they acted, his dad works for them so they probably didn't act as well as they should or would normally have acted. They knew the situation and were in with the chance of getting a very good footballer for nothing, we would have done the same if the positions were reversed.
  9. Taking things at face value, I hope we can come to some agreement with him at the end of the season and send him back home on loan to see if he can sort his family out and repair his marriage.
  10. Here's a thought, if we work more on our strengths instead of trying to work on other teams weaknesses we might not need a week to get ready for a game. As for Swansea, they are 2 points worse off than they were at this time last season, hardly the fall from grace we had. Last season we were down 12 points after 13 games on the season before so I'm not sure what the comparison is.
  11. I doubt him wanting away will have any negative effect if his personal life is as bad as it seems to be, I'm sure the other players will understand. I'm not sure I would like to be thousands of miles away from my family and he deserves loads of credit for sticking with us if things are as bad as they look.

    Alan Pardew

Thoughts? He only said last week that we had enough players to field 2 teams. Also, last season we did change most of the team between games more often than not so what difference would a day make. Especially when he complained that players who were dropped for the UEFA were rusty for a league game. Edit. He's full of shit.

It wouldn't matter, I'd take winning the League Cup in the 120th minute of every game playing negative football if it meant winning a trophy.

    Alan Pardew

That depends, Pardew could be "unnecessarily negative in both his words and team setup" and win every game. Winning every game wouldn't change the fact that he was negative, hypothetically.
  15. I don't think I'm moaning any more than you are about people moaning, ironically.

His pace wasn't a massive problem for me, it was his decision making and how long it would take and that was down to it being his first season in the league. Pace isn't everything and being the quickest doesn't make you the best unless you're a runner.

    Alan Pardew

    Anyway, Pardew is still shite.
  18. Some people probably do think like that.
  19. Excellent, that doesn't mean we couldn't do better if we used other players.

That was last season, his first in a new league, his first in a struggling team and his first in a team which contained a large percentage of new signings.
  21. I shouldn't have asked that question in this thread so I'll leave it.
  22. It's not a coincidence, he's a class act.
