Didnt you suggest Anita as an alternative? I thought HF's point was just that we dont have a striker on the bench of a better quality than Shola, hence pointing to squad depth. Shola seems to come on in response to us playing it long, not the other way round. If that is the case then bringing on Anita would be odd. As for your point about how wonderful the arguments have been on here, surely the end of the season, with all the stats, facts and figures to hand is a good time to reflect on whatever has been said before? I would rather see Campbell coming off the bench than Shola who does nothing other than give away fouls or is offside. Shola is rarely the only forward option on the bench, he's usually the default change and he offers nothing at all, absolutely nothing.

I find it incredible that stats are being used to prove something when people’s eyes are telling them something else. We’ve been garbage for most of this season and that wouldn’t change if somebody found a stat to say that we were the best, we weren't, we've been shite no matter how it gets dressed up.

Bollocks, look at the team we had out against Reading at home for one. Enlighten me what you mean by this please? I have looked and the only January reinforcement available to us at that date was Debuchy, who did play. Not sure how that is relevant at all to what I said.. Injuries and Europe had nothing to do with our shit results in the same way that new players didn't.
