If we hadn't sacked Bobby we wouldn't have had Souness, of course it was a problem.

Bobby should have completed his final season and he should have been a part of bringing in his replacement. Christ, we had one of the most knowledgeable people in world football at the club and we sacked him instead of making the most of him and taking the club forwards with the help of his experience. Any manager coming into the club at that time would have had a massive bonus knowing they could go to Sir Bobby if needing a bit of help.

Souness should have been sacked the day that he grabbed Bellamy by the throat, if my boss did that to me I would probably hit him in self defence and worry about the outcome later. Souness thought he could bully players and got away with it with some but not everybody backs down just because somebody wants them to do so. Souness was s**** and Bellamy was daft to react but I can understand why he did.

As if he made a mistake taking us on when he was one of the very few managers below us in the league, t***.

It will depend on where you sit and how many months you pay your direct debit over, I think mine was over 10 months last season.

I must be, what am I missing?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

We all know why that is, "Hatem, get back." To be fair, the wonderful chap in your avatar told a far more effective wide player to do the same. You can't just allow your FB to get continually exposed. The wonderful chap in my avatar has nothing to do with Ben Arfa dropping deep so I have no idea why you've brought him into it. It was suggested that Ben Arfa plays too deep so I pointed out why he does it, was I wrong?

He's probably telling them all about Ban Arfa having a clause in his contract and that he hopes that nobody will meet it. The thing in our favour is that nobody is going to understand his pigeon english.

Our poor corners and free kicks have everything to do with delivery, if he doesn't see that then he's not going to sort it out. Usually if you're going to score from a header it's going to be from a delivery at pace and at a height which allows the player to divert the ball towards goal but the main thing is that the ball has pace, something which ours constantly lack.

It looks like our fullbacks aren't going to get forward too often next season.

Pardew is just as likely to play safe as play adventurous football, in fact the latter is more likely.

Even if he tries it you know what would happen after our first defeat.

I think you are a bit, he's just saying they're trying to keep prices down. Which is something they should be applauded for and many other clubs should be following. Asley has taken money out of the club, we didn't have to raise prices at the gate to be able to fund transfers. And before you say anything, the loans he made to the club were brought about because of the incompetence of him and his MD which brought about relegation in the first place. I'd say the previous administration who took out loans that they would've struggled to pay back probably need to shoulder some of the blame. I thought that the loans we've paid back, partially, were from the relegation season. The earlier loans are still on the books. Also, it was always claimed before relegation that Ashley wouldn't be looking to take any money out of the club which we now know was complete bollocks. Ashley loaned us money to cover the other loans that had already been taken out and weren't particularly favourable to the club. That's common knowledge. He put more money in when we went down (rightly so, it was his own fault). As for taking money out I've always assumed that it was beyond what he put in as loans. I think everybody is aware of the money he's put in and why. I don't know what you''re getting at with your last sentence though, why else would he take money out other than for loans?

Who has claimed that we should or had to overspend?

There's no point in going back through this argument as well. Why not? We could have spent an extra £12 million and had the same affordable football.

The club could afford to pay Ashley back, it's not about affordable football, it's about profitable football.

He doesn't have to qualify for Europe, he has to finish just above mid-table and I'm sure that lack of ambition will be lowered if required.

Personally I don't think we should settle for less than 8th but should aim higher.

We should be aiming for that, why not?
