  1. Kinnear fluked 6th with the mighty Wimbledon and was voted manager of the year in 1994. Does that mean he's a good manager?
  2. Probably because we've got better players, oh, we haven't, they are all shit (not aimed at Jon).
  3. It is and Alan Green will be loving it.
  4. I stopped looking up the table a couple of games ago, in that respect it hasn't been a bad weekend for us as long as we win tomorrow.

    Pardew Out?

All of our problems are not down to Pardew, I doubt that many think that they are. For me he is the main reason we're struggling. If we lose on Monday then I can’t see past him having to go because our league status is more important than he is. I don’t think Pardew has got us playing to the players strengths and as far as I’m concerned that’s the main reason we are where we are. If players are holding us back then they shouldn't be playing. If Pardew can’t see and change what’s wrong then he should go.
  6. That's a shit draw for us having to travel down to Brighton.

    Pardew Out?

Aye, right. We've only been disappointing twice this season.
  8. I'm not sure how you can claim Pele made players better, I remember him playing with some fantastic players for Brazil and can't see how such a claim can be made. Garrincha, Carlos Alberto, Gerson, Jairzinho and Rivellino were fantastic players and I don't think Pele did anything to make those players look any better other than being another good player to play with. I would argue that playing in Spain today is a lot more difficult than is was to play in Brazil when Pele was playing. Also, International football is much more competitive today than it was back in the 60's and 70's. Look at the make-up of the qualified teams back then to now, it was almost entirely South America v Europe. Like it or not, football is now a global sport and it’s a sport which on a competitive basis hardly bares any resemblance to the game 40 to 50 years ago.
  9. I’ve always shied away from calling him (Messi, not Williamson) the best ever, I don’t see how it can be argued against now. He’s the best footballer that I’ve ever seen and I was lucky enough to see Pele on a shitty TV when I was a kid.

I was thinking about the home league game, it feels like it was years ago now at it was only about 8 weeks ago.
  11. I've always felt that putting your tongue on a piece of railway iron is far too underrated and doesn’t get the praise that it deserves.
  12. I don't think right-back will be a priority anyway.
  13. I wouldn't really disagree with you too much as our movement is crap, it's being made worse though because of our lack of central midfielders. Teams can just pass around us through the middle and then they are in on our defence.
  14. Every pre-match thread Admittedly not by the same posters, mind. Look at the games coming up, this is potentially our easiest points this year, on paper it definitely is the 2nd easiest.
  15. I'd rather play a mobile 4-3-3 with our players than a mobile 4-4-2. We don't have wingers who can make a 4-4-2 work on a regular basis. PS I've never played a computer football game in my life.

Who can answer that question? None of us, we can come up with names and it would be pointless as none of us have any say in the matter.

    Pardew Out?

We've got 14 points from 14 games and we've had a relatively easy run of games. We're struggling after playing games which we needed to win and we're looking at games which our current form over the last 6 games is the 2nd worst in the league. We are about to face a series of games where we'll be lucky to come out of with anything like a reasonable goal difference never mind points total. Of our 14 games played we’ve faced Chelsea and Man U away, apart from that we should be able to expect to get something from the others. We’ve vastly under-performed so often that we have no right to expect anything positive from any team either at home or away. How Everton performed under Moyes at any time is irrelevant to our current position.

You're burying your head in the sand, nothing is more important than stopping up and we're beyond the stage where playing again is a major consideration. Worrying about not going down is where we're at.

The bigger picture is that the team that finished 5th last season are in a relegation battle at this time, how much of a bigger picture do you want? Do you think we should wait until we're bottom 3 before thinking about sacking him? Should we wait and see if we're rock bottom by Christmas before thinking about sacking him? What about waiting to see if we do get relegated before thinking about it? Take a look at the fixtures we’re facing between now and 19 January when we play Reading at home. We’ve got two easy or relatively easy games at home. The first being on Monday, the second is just before Christmas against a QPR team who have been lifted by Redknapp if the game against the mackems is anything to go by. QPR look as if they are up for the fight now so I’m not going to write them off, I would have done recently because they looked dead and buried.
