If we just go for it I'll accept it if the result doesn't go our way because we don't usually get anything away to these.
-
We should be in a good position to get something against Liverpool but I doubt that we will.

I followed the link and then went to check other threads and couldn't keep up. That place really is like the internet’s version of a lunatic asylum.

I can't remember posting what you've just tried to pin on me and I doubt I would actually say it because I've got no choice but to give him a chance. Do I like him? No I don't particularly like him but that doesn't matter because what he does or doesn't do as a manager is all I really care about. Do I distrust him? I've never really thought about it. Probably not because I think he comes out with a load of shit at times and he's done it within the last week when trying to blame our poor performances on Europe. As a manager, I thought he did well at Reading and West Ham to start with, I also think at the end of last season he had won me over. Now, it's totally different and I think he's underperforming and we're suffering for it. Regarding Ba, I don't think he's handled the situation very well at all and we're not benefiting from it. Football is a team game and we’re not playing for the benefit of the team, we look to be playing the formation Ba wants and it’s doing us no good.

The agenda card is played.

How do you know that he wasn't? I just don't think he liked playing there period. I didn't see any proof of it.

Demba Ba is a class player, our problem is that he wasn't managed into the left of a front 3, he was just pushed into the position. He was as good when playing in that position as he was when played centrally, he just didn't have the luck. He should have been told that he was playing brilliantly to keep his confidence up because he was playing brilliantly without getting the goals his game deserved. Ba is clearly a player who needs confidence like most forwards and he seemed short on that at the end of last season. Anybody who thinks we'd easily replace him is mad.

A good post wasted, most of the team we started with yesterday have been here for more than a year. He's had more than long enough to work out who fits where.

I'll be chinning you if you quote me again with you own text then delete you original post.

Makes me laugh when managers use the tired excuse,my dad is 54 plays an hour of 5 a side on a wednesday night and a full match on a saturday morning as well as working full time as a brickie. Some mugs will fall for it. well my dads a fireman. for the record, my dad is none of the above.

The two moves that really p*ssed me off were firstly when he was on the left and passed the ball sideways which went straight to a West Brom player. The next one was when he was on the right and had one of our players in front of him while he was running with the ball. He stopped dead and passed the ball backwards when we could have broke on them and we were looking for a second goal. passing ther ball to their players ? our entire team done that all second half, why pick him out ? The thread title is a clue.

The only stick I heard him getting was after numerous instances of him being shit and I don't think he'll have heard it. Towards the end I couldn’t keep quiet and was shouting at him, again, he wouldn’t have heard me either. He wasn't good enough today and that is down to him, nobody else.

I'll give you that after seeing it on tele, he did well for the Ba goal.
-
Santon, Cabaye, Tiote and Cisse are all top 6 players.
-
Playing a style of football which brought the best out of our team made a massive difference. Our defence when we finished 3rd was mainly Griffin, Hughes, O'Brien and Bernard.
-
Viana started 11 games and I think he came off the bench as many times, the same season we finished 3rd also saw us playing 14 games in the Champions League.
-
Hamilton, Pattison and Carr weren't playing when we finished 3rd so I'll take them out and add Griffin, Hughes and Viana.
-
Andy O'Brien played a few games, I mentioned the first two that came to mind and didn't go into much detail or I could have also mentioned Pattison, McClen, Hamilton, Chopra, Carr, Quinn etc. All managers have to field players who are not first choice.
-
Bobby had to field some really poor players and I remember him being so hard up he had to field Caldwell when he came back from loan and tried to get LuaLua back.
-
That's madness when you look at how prolific they are individually and they weren't on the pitch at the same time today when either scored.
-
Was today the first time they've scored in the same league game since Villa last season?
-
I agree, and they didn't all have to play today. Taylor instead of Williamson would probably have changed the 2-1 to 2-0. Cisse could have started in place of Shola, Ferguson looks to be better than Jonas on current form, Anita in place of Simpson is a probable upgrade and the same goes for Bigirimana in place of Perch which would have also freed Cabaye up.
