I know they've worked at times and I'm not going to say we'd be "x" amount of points better off if we tried something different. I just feel the whole contain has got out of hand and it's harming us now.

Personally, I think Pardew is too negative, I can't remember having a more negative manager, he's probably on a par with Allardyce in that respect.

It hasn't just happened recently, I remember people asking when the change in style which Pardew promised was going to happen.

Is that why we bypass midfield?

    Our training must be shite.

I know it's a lack of movement you divvy, I don't know why it is though. It's not as if we play a rigid straight line in midfield with 2 wingers and 2 central midfielders standing in a line. Is it fitness? It is the players having a lack of ability? Is it a lack of self-confidence? Is it a lack of confidence in each other? Is it all of those?

Jonas was our 2nd best defender tonight, I agree with our lack of movement though and I'm trying to get my head around it because I don't blame the players as I think they are better than they are showing.

The man's a fraud and like all good fraudsters he'll find mugs who fall for his patter.
  9. Coloccini has to go out to Walcott.

I always do, defending is the most important part of a defenders job and that's why I usually stick up for Simpson when Ryan Taylor is talked about as a replacement.

He tried but Cisse would have offered more.

Enrique was and still is a much better defender, Santon is better going forward.

People can blame the players all they like, the players have shown what they can do when allowed to, we even played better tonight in the first half. Is it more likely that the players turned to shit all of a sudden or is it more likely that something was said as half time to change the way we played? Shola wasn't too bad when he came on but he only came on for one thing, to try and get on the end of balls hoyed at him, bringing Cisse on would have been the better option because he has better movement and would have shown more finesse with the ball.

What has that got to do with you saying "Nothing wrong with hoofing it tonight"?

That's what we do when we play long ball, it comes right back at us.

Apart from us throwing away possession?
  17. I've got them, what do you want to know? Edit It was a stupid question and you're right, the wages were £62.5 million in the 2007 accounts.
  18. It wasn't going to for long though, our average gate dropped from just over 52,000 to just over 50,500 and they were only heading one way. At the same time our wage to turnover went from 63% to 72%. We also had almost £7 million compensation for Michael Owen and played 7 home games in the UEFA Cup which were both a 1 off and not likely to happen in a hurry.
  19. Our gates were falling and we'd already spent future income, the money generated from Level 7 was supposed to be paying for the expansion.
  20. We did both, you can't spend what you haven't got.
  21. Aye, it's a pity he's gone from being almost late to being a drunken arse who seems to smack anybody within reach.
  22. We would have been in the financial shit without Ashley as we had borrowed way above what we could repay and soon after the takeover the expected credit crunch arrived.
