At the moment I would probably agree with you. Only in the hope that a higher league position will raise our profile within the game and allow us to bring in better players which should allow us to play better football.

I can't get my head around people not wanting to see a player like Ben Arfa in our team. He has his flaws but when things work for him they are as good and often better than anything else produced by any of our players. I'd start him every game when he's fit in the hope that he'll create the kindof football that only he can produce in our team.

The thought of watching Perch or Ryan Taylor playing at home in central midfield is frightening. The worst possible outcome is that we’ll see Perch in central midfield, Ryan Taylor right midfield with Shola and or Best up front.

I can see absolutely no creativity if we line up like that.

The logic is that we haven't missed Taylor much because of the results we've had without him. We've had 2 bizarre results and one was without both him and Coloccini. Other than that we've had 5 clean sheets in 9 games without him and 4 clean sheets in 14 games with him in the team.

Other than the Mackem game I'd agree with you, for some reason he seems to be able to lift his game against them.

He's known he's had competition for the last 2 games and he's got worse, same with Best, they've both bottled the challenge.

I prefer a keeper to come off the line, he got lucky once when he came out of the box, overall I think his use fo the box is good.

Steve Taylor could have won everything at the back tonight and still wouldn't have made a difference to the outcome of the game.

I don't see how it can be claimed that Cisse is first choice, the same as Santon wasn't until recently.

We haven't missed Taylor too much, I agree that his form this season would make him currently an upgrade on Williamson.

Cisse hasn't been first choice yet, I know that's slightly pedantic but we weren't missing half of our first choice outfield players tonight.

Cabaye, Tiote and Ba are big misses, Taylor less so.

For all the game tonight was shite, the league table looks brilliant tonight. For me 5th after 23 games is better than any of our earlier higher positions.
