I thought that he did quite well after a quiet start, he threaded one pass through two players which was sublime.
  2. The only way we'll drop points in this game is if the players are complacent. It's still early in the season so hopefully nobody at the club is getting too carried away yet. Players should love games like these as it should be us dictating what happens and when.
  3. I know Santon is more likely to start on the right if he does start, I hope that he's on the left though.

Ben Arfa is a player coming back after a year out through injury, he was given 20 minutes to try to do something and probably tried too hard. He needs game time to gain match fitness and he needs to start so that he can relax and get used to the players around him.

Yes I would drop Obertan and Best. Playing lower league teams in the cup and Forest have proven that against us as they pushed us for 120 minutes and we didn't win the game until the last minute of extra time. We've had easier games than that this season in the league and I would say that Scunthorpe also did well and it again took extra time to win it.
  7. The 1 hour photo shoot is still raising money for charity, good on whoever donated it.

I don't see him holding onto the ball too much as a negative. It would have been much easier for him to get rid of the ball considering what he's been through over the last 12 months. A lot of people in his position would have realised that they are less likely to get hurt if somebody else has the ball.
  10. The best defender I have ever seen played on his wrong side.
  11. Marveaux has played 120 minutes twice and lasted well both times, he can't be that unfit.
  12. He's sticking up for him on this very page. And Skirge didn't say that he was s***. Ok what do you want me to find? You said that no-one had said he was s*** and I found 3 posts almost instantly saying he was s*** (or anger at his signing). Given my point you were questioning was that some were starting the lad at s*** and he had to work his way up from there then I found 3 posts were people were angry at the signing from the off I don't know what I am being asked to justify I didn't say that no-one said that he was shit, I said that I could only remember one and you've found two and one of the two is sticking up for him now. I don't think he's shit, I just don't think he's our best option in the position he's getting games in.
  13. He played 14 games in this league for Man U over 2 seasons, he also played 6 times for them in the Champions League. As for me saying that Simpson offered "decent support" where did I say that?

  15. I can only think of one person who has said that Obertan is s*** on here. Can you think of any who have actually said that?
  16. Stuff like scoring or making goals? I love Routledge, but he froze up in the premier league. He wasn't trying anything. He was playing scared for some reason. The same cannot be said about Obertan. Yes, he isn't quite aggressive as he ought to be yet, but he is still figuring out when to go for it, and what works and what doesn't. Obertan has never played first team football at this level, ever for goodness sake. Think he would also benefit hugely if he had a better full back behind him, as Simpson offers no support whatsoever going forward. Obertan hasn't played much at this level but he has played in this league for Man U. Simpson does offer support and at times gets beyond Obertan who doesn't overlap.
  17. Stuff like scoring or making goals?
  18. How many games does Obertan need to build his confidence? I don't think it's even down to confidence and that's just an excuse for his lack of intelligence and that will take some turning around. He doesn’t seem able to read the game and far too often does the wrong thing and his passing can be a bit wild. I know he’s foreign but that’s no excuse as he’s been in this country for long enough to understand what English football is about, even if he’s played mainly reserve games. He’s got pace but doesn’t know how to use what he’s got and he's keeping a player out of our team who looks to be just as fast but is much better at using the ball.
