  1. I would say it's the worst, without the Robson to Souness debacle we probably wouldn't have had Ashley. I think Sir John was happy with the "Cash Cow" as long as it was filling his pockets.
  2. He made matters worse. Before he arrived we had a problem with Dyer refusing to play against Boro, apart from that it was players speeding in fast cars and pissing in shop doorways. Souness arrived and the shit hit the fan, things were worse than ever before and it was mainly played out in front of the TV cameras instead of the inside pages of the local rags.
  3. He should never have been sacked because he shouldn't have been here in the first place.
  4. I'm sure that I didn't mention random loans or cheap panic buys, if I was going to do that I would have mentioned Best.
  5. We've had the Guthrie option for most of the season and have hardly used it. I think the reason we haven't used him is that Hughton is happy with what we've had so far and that is a black mark for him as far as I'm concerned.
  6. We had money to spend on a forward and didn't spend it, we still had money at the end of the window so could have used that. It doesn't matter if we are spending most of our wage bill on the midfield, they are not performing well and that is all that matters. I doubt very much that we have a budget then split it by position played in.
  7. I understand that Hughton didn't have a massive budget and said somewhere else that he should have used what he did have to bring in loan players on better wages to bridge the gap in quality. Barton coming back isn't something I would like to be risking promotion on because we've had nothing from him so far, at least nothing over a decent period of time.
  8. Hughton isn't a good manager; I don't care what others say about him. I've seen with my own eyes that we've been playing shit and I put that mainly down to his team selections and his unwillingness to change things when a change has been needed as clear as day. Football is a game played over 90 minutes; it’s not just about sneaking a goal when we’ve played badly for 89 minutes. I don’t want to hear any crap about how he can only play who is available, we’ve just come out of a transfer window and we’ll be watching the same shit central midfield on Friday as we have for the last 5 months. Hughton clearly thinks that our midfield is good enough, if he didn’t then he would have done something about it, he didn’t. My only hope is that having Routledge on the right will give us a better balance and help to create more space through the middle as we will not only have one wing for the opponents to worry about, we should have two.
  9. This is terrible news, especially if it's over something trivial like an assault. An 18 year old should have everything to live for.

  11. you reckon ? He got the first bit right.
  12. Yes it could be worse, Gary Glitter is living proof of that.
  13. You've been Skirged by the looks of it.
  14. We can leave it right until the death, he doesn't need a medical.
  15. I thought it was only being shown in NE & Cumbria.
  16. Is a link allowed to be added in here? I'm recording it if anybody misses it.
  17. He's due back in 2 weeks, out again in 3.
  18. I wouldn't be surprised if he did stand down if we get promoted, I think he's a decent person who is out of his depth and he'll realise that at some point.
