It was probably piss, one of my mates said they were throwing bags of piss out of level 7 and were bragging about it in town after the game.

Lovenkrands hasn't scored when he's come off the bench until last night, he's made more of an impact when starting the game. If Hughton was picking a team based on impact then we wouldn't have had to wait until last night to see a mobile midfield and a balanced team. Carroll wouldn't have started against Cardiff either if it was down to impact because he was sterile against Leicester. He was right to pick Carroll last night, I wouldn't have had him in my starting 11 but he was as important as anybody to the way that we played, let's see how he does on Tuesday. He might actually turn out to be a footballer and Hughton might turn out to be a decent manager, we'll have to see how he does when injuries clear up and give him a free hand at picking his strongest 11.

38,000 at the mackem game.
-
You have more faith in him that I do, he could play and get a hattrick or he could be terrible.
-
He's played in 4 games and offered nothing, if he doesn't score then he's worthless to the team.
-
So he's not playing well and he's not scoring, that's him reverting to type. Don't get me wrong, he can score in this league and will again this season. I just don't think he justifies a start. He's had many mini purple patches throughout his career then gone missing for even longer periods.
-
Andy? I thought that we were talking about Shola who came back from injury 12 games ago.
-
And shouldn't start because of that.
-
Since Sheff Wed, he's started twice and looked terrible, he's also looked terrible when coming off the bench. I made the comparison as I did because I've compared him to our other forwards and what they've done recently. Apart from the goals he’s looked like his goals tally suggests, he’s been the least effective of them all while playing.
-
Do you think he's played well?
-
A third of the games that Lovenkrands has started, Lovenkrands has scored 6 in that time. Half of the games that Carroll has started, Carroll has scored 4. Twice as many games as Ranger has started, Ranger has scored 1.
-
Shola hasn't scored since boxing day, he's reverted to type and would be bottom of my list of striking options.
-
I said that he was probably the weakest in his position and that's my opinion on what I've seen of him so far with us and other clubs. I had forgotten about Pancrate who blows hot and cold, mainly cold. Routledge looks like a player we've been in need of all season and looks like a good player who will bring a lot to our game. Simpson is the best right back at the club and looks better for having Routledge in front of him. Van Aanholt looks like he can link up really well with Jonas and ensure that we reamin a threat down our left side, he doesn't look like he's going to be the best defender but if we keep the opposition under pressure then we'll have less to defend. Fitz Hall and Mike Williamson have so far done everything we could ask of them in the centre of our defence.
-
Yes, that and what I've seen of him in the past but I'm not writing him off.
-
Fitz Hall signs from QPR on loan for remainder of the season

I'm not sure that he's bad, he seems to be capable of playing well but can't always maintain it. I think if he's motivated then he could do a good job for us. -
Roeder didn't learn from his mistakes, I hope Hughton can and we'll find out soon enough.
-
I'd still go for Lovenkrands and Ranger, even after last night. I think Lovenkrands is the best we've got at the minute and I think Ranger has more potential than the others. Carroll did well to get his goals but he's also capable of producing as little as he did the week before, Shola is also just as capable of being bad as being good. Best is probably the weakest in his position of all the Hughton signings.
-
His signings look good, we've bought a lot worse for more money in the past.
-
He couldn't have gone with slower players who want to hoof it, they were injured. The only option he had to change our starting line up that would have been negative was Ryan Taylor for Routledge or Simpson and that choice would have been stupid, even for him. We'll see his true managerial ability once Butt and Smith are free from injury, it will also be interesting to see what he does with Lovenkrands after last night, he should start instead of Best.
-
Well done to Hughton for not fielding players who were not available for selection, pity we've been saying it for most of the season and only were proven right when injuries kicked in, Nolan was still a passenger tonight but we found carrying 1 to be easier than carrying 3. To his credit, he got the subs spot on by choice.
-
Very true, your post is laughable.

Ferdinand missed his drugs test which was to take place at the training ground where he was training; the disciplinary commission heard all of the evidence and decided to give him a fine and an 8 month ban. I could have also mentioned Cantona kicking the Crystal Palace fan.

Our second dip was worse than the first, I just don't think we would have had the second if we hadn't of had the first. We'll never know.
-
Of course he had support, Bellamy was sold because of the spat between the two of them. Bellamy was arguably our best player at that time and possibly our most valuable asset but we ended up peddling him for peanuts. By the way, I'd rather have a player racing cars, which isn't actually true as he was just speeding, and I'd rather have a player pissing in doorways than missing drug tests like a certain Man U player. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/3333091.stm
