  1. It's not really working within the contract.
  2. OK, I don't see any Racism in that.
  3. Constructive dismissal is where an employer appears to force an employee to resign because of the actions of the employer.
  4. If they think he's going then why piss off a player with a future?
  5. I wonder if Owen thinks he might get dropped?
  6. I understand that but how many times does an employee walk away and nothing happens yet it caused massive disruption replacing that person and the company receives nothing in return from the employee?
  7. What has that got to do with the rights and wrongs of Constructive Dismissal?
  8. Constructive dismissal isn't bollocks in the real world, it prevents people from being walked all over by an employer.
  9. I keep playing Devils Advocate on this so don't take it the wrong way. Do contracts work both ways? I don't think they do and would like to see somebody who breaks it from the other side have to pay the employer for the remainder of the contract. It seems all one sided to me, it's far too easy for one party to break a contract while the other ends up out of pocket if they do it.
  10. Good point, it isn't as far as I'm aware.
  11. I'm not saying that they should be arrested, what I'm saying is that if somebody is arrested for breaking the law then as far as I'm concerned it's acceptable. In this case I don't see what law has been broken, to call it Racism is pathetic and beyond extreme.
  12. Saying that he was a peado would be slander and unlawful, saying he looks like somebody isn't against the law, yet.
  13. I don't think you can formally sack somebody verbally.
  14. From what I can see two people have been arrested for Racism, I can't see how the chants can be seen as Racism and I'll defend them against that. If they were being arrested for calling him a peado then I'd say that was fair enough but not Racism.
  15. The reports said that Keegan was verbally told he'd been sacked, it could be bollocks or it could be true. We could all say anything verbally then realise we'd dropped a bollock and pretend it didn't happen.
  16. To be fair, it has been said that Llambias told Keegan that he was sacked and the amount shouldn't come in to it, it's should be down to who is right and who is wrong.
  17. Robson's case being clear cut is the reason why some people have a different opinion about it, the blame was obvious which can't be said about when Keegan walked out.
  18. Bobby was sacked, Keegan probably walked, the cases are different and I doubt a single Newcastle fan thinks Keegan hates the club.
  19. I've got to say that I think this is all a load of bollocks, this country has gone mad if you can get arrested for hurting somebodies feelings. If this is classed as racism then the law is an ass. Fans have picked on players for many years, if a player stood out then he was picked on to try and put him off his game. If Mido can't take stick from the fans then he should have tried another sport.
  20. I wonder if the Richard Reid chants had anything to do with the explosive pace of Mido?
  21. The truth is already out, we just don't know what it is.
  22. The players that Allardyce bought are exactly the reason that Wise and Co were brought it.
  23. The money will come from somewhere within the club, even if the plan was to break even it could end up with us having to make a transfer profit instead. Edit. We could decide that we'll let Owen go in the summer and get him off the wage bill and save £5,000,000 a year if he's on £100,000 a week or at least something along those lines anyway but it could be any player. I would think that with our wage bill being such a high percentage of turnover that it's got to be a saving from that area of the clubs finances if it's not directly transfer fees.
  24. I hope this does go to court, some shit will fly around while it's going through that process but we'll at least get to know what happened and can then move on. My guess is that the problems were on both sides and responsibility will be shared. If that is the case then I don't see how either Ashley or Keegan can be totally held responsible by the fans. Anybody who thinks this has anything to do with Ashley staying is wrong it would have happened regardless of him selling or not. I also don’t see how it can be claimed that this will not make a difference to possible transfer funds, it’s got to as it’s potentially money going out of the club.
  25. Watching Duff trying to play the ball backwards would be interesting.
