Owen and Harper, Viduka is a very good player but his fitness record is poor. Edgar started off well but hasn't really developed much and has possibly gone backwards. As for the others, I'll be happy if I never see them play for us again.
The club as a whole was on a massive downer when we finished 5th because of us going out of the CL and we needed some new blood in the team to freshen things up, that didn't happen.
I don't really want to go any further because this thead could easily go the wrong way.
That's the way I also feel, I think with the right financial backing we would have moved forwards again and I think with backing we would have finished that season in the top 5 again.
He signed the players which transformed us from a team struggling in mid-table to one that gave us our best ever finish in the CL. The sign of a good manager isn't who he buys, it's what he does with the players he has got and I can't fault him for that. He generated the cash he spent by gaining us £500k for every place he lifted us up the table.
What you are saying is that Ashley will sell the club and will not give Owen a new contract which comes in to force until Ashley has gone but Ashley is doing it to save him money.
How does that one work?
Another problem for us it that Duff and Butt will probably walk straight back into the side after the result on Saturday despite the fact that we probably played our best 45 minutes of football this season in the first half without them. That pisses me off more than dropping the 2 points because I think we'll drop more over the rest of the season than we would have if we'd kept the same 11 and won this game.
I hope I've got Kinnear worked out wrong.
I would say over 90% of people on here can hold differing opinions and debate them and get a point across, he can't. It's like trying to debate with an automaton.
