Its a catch 22. If the club isn't sold soon, and nothing i've read/heard indicates it will, then we're not going to be able to appoint a full-time manager of any calibre as we're still in the same situation that resulted in us having to get JK off the dole, so we're stuck with him until the clubs sold. (Poyet's free now though mind.........) So if JK is still here for the Jan window, I can't see Ashley releasing a wild amount of cash for new players much over and above what JK can raise by sales. So JK will be forced to shop in the bargain basements for cheapies and freebies, wheeling and dealing.

I admire your optimism. Its all i've got left.

You mean they thought their manager wasn't up to the job so replaced him, hardly similar to our situation was it? A similar situation to ours was at West Ham, manager walks out but their fans do to sensible thing which was to be patient and wait to see what the management team do about replacing him, now West Ham have a new manager in place that the fans seem happy with and the old manager is forgotten. Our fans on the other hand decided to take a different route by holding protests outside the ground, waving bedsheets around with incorrect spelling which fans all over the country had a good laugh at, they then decided to try and force the owner to sell the club and call for nobody to buy any pies or programmes until he did, with a few adults seen shouting at young kids for buying one, then when the owner does agree to sell a few of them set up a pressure group a realise one ridiculous statement after the other telling any potential new owner that we won't put up with any of their s*** and threaten to write to all major club sponsors if the club isn't sold by the end of the season, this gets picked up by one the Internets most popular websites for football kit news which makes us a laughing stock again. Then they wonder why the club is unstable at the moment and not like those clubs who's management teams were allowed to get on with things when decisions had to be made. Also Curbishley was no 'Messiah', he was on his way out regardless, he walked before he was pushed. Correct. Their fans didnt have a chance to do anything because West Ham interviewed and appointed a replacement within about 7 days (and publicly told their fans what they were dong and when they were interviewing). By comparison, we had about 12 days between Keegan walking and the Hull game. In that time, we did absolutely nothing A much closer comparison would would be using Allerdyce/Curbs.

If this is a smokescreen to hide his real targets, its a fooking good'un. *fingers-crossed*

I imagine he's only heard the clubs version of events, hardly going to be balanced. I'll still wait to hear both sides before getting my pitchfork oot.

Perhaps thats one of the reasons why he didn't come. I don't think its any surprise that as well as the manager and coach, the DOF has left too. Has to be Harry's condition on taking the job. If the players are good but underperforming, then its the manager who goes. If the players brought in by the DOF are poor, then its hardly the managers fault he can't get them to perform (especially if he'd won a cup the previous season) so the DOF would be binned. Both going - Harry's way or no-way, take it or leave it Levy.

They got a their replacement manager sorted 'then' sacked their manager, it would have been interesting to see how they'd have done if Ramos has walked after a couple of games instead. Ashley had the chance to choose between the system and a real manager. He made his decision and that's why we're in a relegation fight. Can't argue with that, he certainly appointed the wrong manager if he was adamant a DOF system was the way forward.

That's such a camp pose by Jenas.

So what the f*** was his excuse when everything was rosy? As has been said its either been laziness or contempt from day one. Theres no reason for an owner or the chairman to say anything when things are going ok (as no-one would be interested tbh), its only when its not so rosy is it natural and expected to hear from a clubs heirarchy. That time was immediately after KK and often enough following then (at the very least to try and get their side over). If I was polled over who is to blame, i'd be an undecided - but my patience with the club is wavering and no communication at all from them isn't making me feel any better.

Scott Sellars He scored in 1993 at our place, when it should've been called off for a waterlogged pitch. In off the post if I remember correctly. That was the game/goal I was thinking of.

Did David Kelly score a free-kick against them? *just checked - a header*
-
Read that too, also that he hadn't been sacked earlier.

Its a good job WBA aren't blessed with strikers to match their football. If we had to chase them at 2-0 down I don't think we'd have managed it.
-
I hope to see him do well enough here to earn a full-time job at another club.

Its all in the name. Calling themselves the 'Newcastle United Supporters Club' implies that it speaks for ALL supporters, I don't have a problem with their demands, as long as they don't do it in my name as a Newcastle United supporter. If they'd called themselves 'The Ashley Out Club' or similiar then the only thing folk would/could complain about was their aims and not the fact that they pertain to represent everyone. The Toon Ultras get a load of grief over their name and all they want to do is sing at matches.
-
I am pissed off at people thinking that NUSC represents them it, strangely it represents Newcastle United Supporters Club. Are you in the club? I am guessing no here, so it doesn't represent you. As 'the voice of Newcastle United Supporters' of course I feel they represent me. I have no choice in the f***ing matter. They are the go to boys for the national media. Nice to see you missed Club off It is like saying the British National Party represent everyone who is a British National. They think they do tbh (the BNP that is!!)

Decent crosser of the ball, but too slow. Not a bad sub to have though.

Its a team game, once the main (midfield) component goes to shit (on any side, not just ours), then theres usually only one outcome. The midfield did a disappearing act in the first half so Everton could attack at will, so no surprise to me that 'all' the back four looked shaky due to the near constant pressure put upon them. It (the defence) looked a whole lot better in the second half when the midfield started to look abit like they knew what they were out there for. We may not have any Maldini's at the back, but we've certainly got no Ramage's either.

I've another conclusion.........he's mental. I'm defo warming to the guy.
