Ive no doubt that Howe told these players some truths this week and ive also no doubt that these players are under no illusions about their places in the side.

Punishing players for bad performances is the sort of shit id expect from Souness or Bruce. Howe is smart enough not to react too strongly and back his players to find form.

Didn't really feel like failure when we won the league cup last year? Unless you think that a bad game = bad player and therefore should be autodropped? If it were me, id have made more changes, but not as some sort of punishment but to try and get more out of the team.
