Would be very happy to see Benayoun here, i think it'd be a really good signing. Serious upgrade on Milner, and anything to have Duff nowhere near the team is good enough for me. Benayoun/Jonas on the wings would be a nice prospect. I was thinking more in the centre TBH, that's where we are desperate. However Benayoun is slightly lightweight for that role.

Baptista is the sort of player we should be trying to sign and i'd say he is within our limits, however i don't think we will sign him because of Roma's interest. Hopefully we will be surveying a few options of similar calibre.

Calm down ladies, this transfer will happen. Coloccini is all but done, just waiting on confirmation which could be any time TBH. I'm hoping that we are doing other deals aswell TBH, that's just as important in my book. It would be nice to get another Coloccini calibre in soon.

Looks better, but I'd play Guthrie and Butt over Geremi. I'm one of the few that sees the qualities of Geremi in our side, however i recognise that we should not be going into next season with Geremi as our main centre midfielder. Butt for me last season was incapable of playing in a 442 system and have not seen enough of Guthrie to comment on his ability. Hopefully we will at least get one good centre midfielder in, preferabley two.

I'm always positive. I just want the pre-season friendlies to began, at least then we can start analysing performances and build hope for the coming season. Nicky Butts form changed when the formation did. So when we have 3 centre mids he's better at his job, than when we have two? Not good enough for me like. Habib Beye was good from day one and there was nothing worse than hearing Paul Walsh say "Even that Beye is starting to look a good player" on soccer saturday. He had one or two shakey performances but apart from that he was excellent throughout. I'd have him captain any day like.

The player who can play a slide rule pass isn't a necessity but would make a massive difference to us rather than the hit and hope balls that we play far too often and usually in desperation. When a game is tight a player who can do this can often change the game. Sadly Emre had the ability but not quite the brain (which i supposed could be argued mental ability). What's irritating is that we have not had someone down the middle, with that capability in a long time. I don't believe anyone in the premiership who is available with that sort of talent.
