Neither experianced nor good. I don't want to see him in our black and white, he's just lanky in my honest opinion.
-
Fancy us for the UEFA like. The only tricky side is Spurs for me. I always said that the first season without shearer would be the one where we will win something, i'll stick by that.
-
I'm not sure we would have a choice if someone made an offer of ÂŁ5.5m - Its a clause in his contract. However I'd hope he would turn down a move considering we've been loyal to him and are not safe from the drop. If the clause stuff is true, then i'd be rather worried but i would have thought a club would have came in last summer had that been the case. For 5.5m he would have been a bargain. He raped us down at the COMS last month. Best player on the park by a country mile.

I don't think Glenns the type to rush players back.
-
He'd be worth 7m plus i think, it would be stupid for our club to risk that sort of money on a 29 year old. It's for that reason why don't think he will end up in the prem either. He's got italy written all over him.

Priorities: 1. LEFT BACK 2. STRIKER (cover) or CENTRE BACK 3. RIGHT BACK I'd be putting alot of effort in getting a left back in then keeping my eye open at other deals going on. If we see a centre back, striker or right back that has became available we should swoop in. Planning is the key word though, plenty of enquiries need to be made.

Barton is a fantastic player, passing, shooting, tackling and leadership. The only thing that troubles me is his temperament but i believe all great players are a little crazy, we would just need to learn how to handle him (plus i think he's calmed down). For 5.5m would be a snip in my eyes however we must stick to our priorities. I doubt citeh would sell to any prem club half way through their season anyway. The summer seems more feezable.

Newcastle are in the same boat, although their backs-to-the-walls stuff is out of necessity rather than stupidity - 7 first-team players are injured, they’ve got a thin squad and they still are close to the relegation scrap. They fought their way through at the Emirates, and it looks like they’ll go throughout the season fighting for scraps - the UEFA Cup seems to bring out a different Newcastle, but we’ll see tonight if they can come away from Frankfurt with points or not. Last season Newcastle stormed to 7th place, but the league is much tougher this year, and they’re not as strong as last year. Top 10 would be a big acheivement for them. With their luck though, Newcastle could beat Chelsea in the Carling Cup quarter final. First he says we have 7 first teamers injured then accuses us of being lucky? Shite journalism.

It embarrasses me that any toon fan would create a thread like this about one of our youngsters after two league starts, one of which against league champions.

The bit in bold is fact, the bit not in bold is opinion. Chelsea may be minted but they don't want to let players go for nothing. It's quite possible that Mourinho told Bridge he will let him go should a club come in for him during the january window. Mine is just speculation, however should Bridge have got a pay rise when he signed it would add substance to my guess.

In all honesty i chose martins because of his age. There's very little between the two players. Pace, workrate and finishing.
-
Riggot or Distin, Bridge or Konchesky.
-
Martins did everything he could in the game today. Good control, good turn of pace and two very well taken goals, without him and steven taylor we would have lost today. It baffles me that anyone could critise todays performance, he played very well IMO.

Here's my views: Given 7 Did what he had to, was blocked for the goal. Huntington 6 Solid home debut, wasn't beaten very often. Taylor (MOM) 9 Awesome performance again, undroppable. McClaren in the stands. Ramage 7 Taylors sidekick showed good communication and looked pretty comfortable. Babayaro 5 Another shocker from him, at fault for their goal. Milner 6 Would have gave him a 5 if it wasn't for his assist. Disapointing. Butt 7 Putt in a good shift. Dyer 6 Pretty anonamous, apart from a first half shot. Emre 7 Probbed but to little effect, took off injured. Martins 8 Two chances, two goals. Very efficient performance from our most threatening player by far. Sibierski 7 Look a little tired but worked hard all the same. Duff 7 Cameo assist Parker 7 Couple of good tackles Verdict: We were lucky to get anything out of this game but got 3 points after a midweek loss. Injured players are back but we need to produce better if we want to even think about beating spurs next weekend, let alone Chelsea midweek. Taylor was awesome.

Fair enough backing the manager is the right thing to do but what happens when results start going against them? Surely, you can only go so far before asking for his head. We've had some good results of late but i feel around the corner is another set of bad ones. Roeder did wonders getting us into the Uefa cup considering where we were when he took over but deep down i KNOW he isn't the right man for the job. TBH, i voted "not sure" because i simply go with the flow at the moment, one minture everything is great, the next we are playing terribly. The life of a newcastle fan is full of ups and downs.

And the two centre halves. The full backs can afford to tuck in.
-
Rocker here's my battling 11: Given Ramage Taylor Moore Bernard Butt Parker Emre Milner N'Zogbia Martins
-
Our better form is down to the fact we have put the ball in the back of the net more than the opposition three times in a row.
-
.............. you see this shit! You are allowed you opinion but i really wish you would F*** off. No-one gives a toss how good berbatov is, until he plays against us. Maybe one day he will get to play for a big club but i'm sure he will thank spurs for being an excellent spring board.
-
Wouldn't argue with that. He needs to stay fit, keep his feet on the ground and keep working hard, so long as he does this i believe he will be a very good player. World Class?.......... maybe.
-
They have a decent league position and have just beaten a side who are playing woefully. They are in no position to gloat, just in a better position than us.
-
You can garuentee that he was on very small wages at Hearts. I see no reason why we shouldn't get him on a month to month contract of at least give him a trail. He was also their captain we could do wit ha bit of experiance.
-
WHY? fuckin Charlton, fuckin shit because we dismantled them and made them look division 3 class. Thats because they are division three class unlike blackburn who you failed to beat away. Piss off. I wouldn't throw those sort of stones tbh! Sorry, i just don't understand why they don't go and wank over spurs on their own forums. I don't mind having the oppositions view but between him and jols wankfests it starts to grind especially when i see threads about spurs.
-
Didn't dawson score an own goal?
-
33years old? Only as a short term fix until the end of the season.
