Even if his current wages are above his wage value, if we let him go for free he could likely get a signing on fee to supplement his new wage. I also think it's not entirely accurate that every player is money motivated. He likely wants to play football and if his agent is giving him options, none of them will include him remaining on the same wages... that's presuming he values the rest of his football career.

We are definitely in give away for free territory. For whatever his issues regarding injuries, there's a decent player there for someone. You've got sides like Burnley and Leeds coming up, if I were them, I'd 100% take a punt on Targett and Lascelles. At the very least they'd give you a two good experianced characters. If you can get them fit, they are PL players, or at least were prior to injuries. Always disappointing when a move doesn't quite work out. Have nowt bad to say about owld Sherman like, seems a good lad.
