  1. Every time he gets the ball, he refuses to run at them, when in the past he would only run at them. Needs to be a good balance. I dunno, I think we need to be careful that in getting him to be more of a team player, we don't neuter him.
  2. Manquillo looked poor against Palace before the break. He's looked much sharper here. Poorer opposition but, its crucial we have a competent back up for Trippier.
  3. Few half time notes: ASM looks top heavy, slow and half the player he was. Shelvey looks spent as a PL footballer, it looks as though the pace of our play has surpassed him and he can't keep up. Willock was easily our best player, was everywhere. Made runs, passing, pressing. Murphy looked decent, really good use of pace. Karius looks decent, might be worth pencilling him in as a long term number 2 if he's up for it. Botman is a hard cunt. Love Joelinton, again amazing how far he has come. He now looks waaaay more like scoring than he did as a number 9. Incredible.

    Alexander Isak

The correct approach. Having him properly fit for the end of the season could be lush.

    The Round of 16

Korea have been awful. Tactically suicidal.
  6. With Leicester now seemingly with enough momentum to avoid any relegation fears, now is exactly the time to sell Maddison and Tielmans and thinking about reinventing themselves. It's a much worse scenario allowing them to go for nowt and having no money for reinvestment. They can have Ryan Fraser as part of the deal of they want.
  7. There's an element of getting them off the books while you can.
  8. Love the way Souness was bumming the Spanish, which was half fair because their control of possession was mint but I was watching thinking "aye but they haven't exactly peppered the Japanese goal" and there we are. Japs 2-1.

    Kieron Dyer

Just had a chance to watch that Dyer pod. I suppose 2 things strike me about Dyer; 1. He seems like a sound lad, open about his mistakes and problems and genuinely the sort of guy you could have a pint with. 2. He's doing his coaching badges and has aspirations for management but he seems to have the last personality you want as manager. He can't seem to control his language ( I know that's petty but compare that to the cool calmness of the best managers around in interviews), he also gives his opinion too much. Its fine when you are a pundit but if you are a manager, you can't be seen to have given your opinion on x, y and z. Eventually that comes back and bites you in the arse. I'd actually like to see him more as a pundit because I reckon he'd have the balls to question other pundits opinions.
  10. Also, Messi will love having Alvarez to play with, a player of similar intelligence.
  11. Messi is such a beautiful player. That's why he's the GOAT because while Ronaldo has also won loads of stuff and scored loads of goals, Messi has done it with beauty and grace.
  12. I'd be foaming if I was Leicester. Then again, he's almost certainly already told them of his intentions and probably asked to leave in the summer.
  13. In the summer I'd have had Pulisic but I feel we are past players like him now. Let's not take any risks on players who "might" work out, especially since our scouting has been first class. And on Kovacic, anyone who "wants out" of Chelsea, already has a nice big earner lined up, probably from someone like Barca.

    Kieran Trippier

Pope = Pickord Trippier = Trippier Stones = Schar Botman > Maguire Burn < Shaw Bruno > Rice Willock = Mount Joelinton < Bellingham Miggy < Saka Wilson < Kane Maxi > current Sterling That means Botman, Bruno and Maxi would currently improve England. Bellingham, Kane, Saka and Shaw would improve Newcastle. Most importantly Howe > Southgate

    Kieron Dyer

Bowyer was fine. Proper grafter but couldn't recapture his Leeds scoring. We got him for free too. Dyer was a gobby little twat but I've warmed to him now. Souness is a cunt. Shepherd was a cunt. Let's remember Shepherd went over his managers head after a Uefa Cup game to say he was going to sell Bowyer based on his performance. He was like a fucking shit dictator. Of course, the one that followed was even worse.
