I'm not defending Lascelles whatsoever, as he is certainly our 4th choice CB but I imagine Lascelles suffered alot from our famously poor pre season last year. When on form, his defending is OK. It's his ability on the ball which let's him down.

Watched 2 minutes of this video to prove you were talking rubbish. There's about every type of goal and assist imaginable in here. He's quick, he's direct, he can finish, assist, press, the whole works. He's failed at Chelsea because they are looking for the difference between finishing 3rd and 1st, which means fine margins. For a top 6 aspiring club, he will smash it.

Your theory is spot on... you just have the wrong pair. Burn and Schar will start the season and Botman will be eased in. I can't wait for the fume come Forest.

Werner is absolutely rapid, that's why he would be a successful signing. Look, he isn't going to score the same number as Wilson, unless he can replicate his form from Germany but he's a very good footballer, plays on the shoulder and would thrive off Brunos through balls. Chelsea as a club are poison to a players confidence because they allow zero time for development. If you aren't up to it on day one, they just sign a replacement. Werner would be a main man here and can play in any of our front 3 positions. He's also young enough to be coached. He's absolutely an Eddie Howe type player. He was one of the players I'd picked out as perfect for us before the window but I've always thought his wages would make it impossible.

The fact that Eddie has Krafth, Richie and Lascelles at least competent in this sort of footbal is testament to his management. Hoy Trippier, Schar and Fraser on and we are cooking on gas.

Either of those sides against Atalanta or Bilbao would be bottom half PL sides IMO but not relegation sides, but a combination of the two sides is easily a top 8/10 side. What's encouraging is that with two weakened sides, we came out with two wins and two very credible performances. Which again tells me what an incredible manager we have.

This is why Benfica, Atalanta and Bilbao were perfect. Perform to that standard, with our strongest side and we can't lose. Forest would have to out perform their ability. Atmosphere will be electric and they will be beaten before the game.

He's class, he'd improve us immeasurably and would be absolutely be worth whatever we paid for him. Him and Bruno would steer us top 6 within 2 seasons.

I'm sure this will amount to nothing but isn't it nice that the people who own/run our club are networking with other European clubs. Hopefully this is happening at every home and away game. Who knows, next time we need to arrange a friendly or buy a player, we might have decent relations with other clubs. It might not seem alot but it matters having personable people around the place.

It's nice feeling that I'm somewhat comfortable if Burn/Botman, Fraser/Miggy, Longstaff/Willock start. In the past it would make or break our performance but I'm somewhat confident in our squad now... for the most part.

I wonder if there has been a breakdown in relations between him and Rodgers. It does seem odd but Rodgers may prefer Barnes as a character or something.

I'll be honest, this kid is mustard and a complete shithouse. He's exactly the sort of player an aspiring European outfit should be targeting. If Ashworth and Co get this done, it's mega impressive.

I don't think there is any doubt that Maddison is at least interested in us, or we wouldn't have bid. The issue is entirely on whether us and Leicester can find a middle ground.

Schar and Burn were getting a solid bond last season, so I think Howe will allow a natural succession to that spot. Atalanta back four, Bilbao midfield 3, is what I think.

Have a feeling he will start Burn over Botman.
