I imagine that we put a financial and a footballing proposal towards players. The more professional clubs can produce a dossier on their targets to agents and players, showing their strengths/weaknesses and what plans they have for them. This is something I suspect we are quite good at. A combination of Howe and Staveley giving you a call must be quite a pulling factor. I'm not saying we will sign x or y but I'd be surprised if we don't give every player the full seduction treatment, possibly over a few months. Anyway, if we sign any player of Williams, Neto or Olise's calibre for next season, we are in a good spot.

I ended up with us and Chelsea neck and neck. I had us 1 win and 2 draws. Chelsea 2 wins and 1 draw. Man United 1 draw.

I'm not sure it can be clawed back mind. Sometimes a loss of belief and form can be fairly terminal. There's no doubt the talent was there. Might be one of the plus points of hiring Tuchel.
