Nothing but love for Miggy, he's epitome of what can be done with hard work and a great attitude on and off the pitch. There's zero reason to caveat any praise with "he's just not good enough for where we want to be" or any of that bollocks. Show a little respect for a player with a great attitude, a great smile and someone who scored some of the most memorable goals in our recent history, including a goal that created the loudest reaction at SJP vs PSG. I hope some sunny day we see him back at SJP as a fan. He will be very fondly remembered.

That's honestly a good shout.
-
It's seems pretty obvious that we are basically waiting until the end of the window to let him go and thats because we are thin on the ground in the position he plays. The only question is whether we try and sign someone.
-
This is being really picky, but please don't use the word "down" when talking about an aircraft landing, especially one full of our players.
-
Really thought there was a slight shift in Eddies press conference. He was open about Dubravka staying (pretty much) He was open about us pursuing Khusanov He pretty much confirmed Miggy will leave He implied that Lloyd Kelly could leave if they got the right fee He was asked about the Greek leaving and didn't rule that out either. He also didn't rule out incomings, he said we weren't active but also said that we have still been doing the ground work (talking to agents etc) in case we did want to act. He also said "until something changes", which again implied that if we sell we might be active. My gut instinct is that we are waiting right until the end of the window to see if anything heats up. I highly suspect we will attract interest in some of our players late on, which could change our position.

He said the squad is weaker this season than it was last but fails to mention the return of Sandro, the progression of young players or indeed the injury crisis that hampered us last year. For me it's a negative take.
-
Also, surely the fact we have clearly made a move for that Khusanov, suggests that there is very much some wriggle room with regards to transfers.
-
Hell of a long way of saying that Staveley spent all of the money. What would you do Luke ya little twat, take the points deduction? We know who would be front and centre with the criticism had we done that. Hypocrisy.

If we are to make CL football, this Chelsea side are our only hope. Forest don't look like slipping and I really dont fancy a battle with a resurgent City side. Chelsea look shite at times, but we have also looked iffy at times. It's gonna be tight.

Weird seeing all these Italian Journos after we signed Tonali.
-
Again it comes back to expectations. Their team/squad is horrific. Not even average but literally filled with players who wouldn't get games at other PL clubs. Fernandes is their only exceptional player. They've got two young lads in Amad and Mainoo who've got bright futures but under SAF would have been drip fed into the team, not relied upon as their star players. Keeper is shite, defenders are shite (De Ligt showing a glimmer of hope), Ugarte ain't it either, if PSG didn't want him, then Man United shouldn't want him. Sign young hungry players. Kerkez, Delap, Semenyo, Cunha, players of this standard. Stop buying over priced, over paid players who failed elsewhere.
-
Feels like he's trying to show a computer to a load of cavemen. Give them a rock and a stick Ruben and they will be a dab hand. Play 433, players in the correct position, use the pace of Amad and the skill of Fernandes on the counter, they will pick up results quickly.
-
It's entirely on the attitude of the players. Play with fire and fury then we win comfortably but give them any sort of confidence and we could have trouble.
-
Eddie Howe showed that you can get results in the interim before implementing your style on the side. In fact, it makes much more sense to implement your style after a good run of results, when the players have some confidence. I do agree that Amorim should be given time but I dont agree that he couldn't have shown flexibility. Its arrogance on his part that he'd rather the side loses but played his way, rather than got results and slowly drip fed his style. He suffering from the same pigheadedness that will get Ange sacked. Even though I like Amorim as a bloke, I've seen enough to suggest that this won't work out long term.
-
But not if we sell Miggy and/or Kelly.
-
I must say, if there's an opportunity to sell Kelly and get someone at RW or even up front, we have to take it. Adding to our forward line will go someway into guaranteeing CL footy next year. I suppose the issue is entirely who we sign and whether they are a long term target. As we all know that we certainly won't panic buy.
-
We don't need to over commit in this game. Southampton will gift us chances because their back four are terrible under pressure. Let them play their way into trouble but please, please, don't give them encouragement by leaving gaps. If we get our foot on the ball for any real length of time, we will be in business.

Goldbridge just reffered to Onana as dracula because he's allergic to crosses.
-
Iraola has bigger fish to fry than Spurs. Scott Parker is more their level.
-
It's one of those "he's got to go" days.
-
Yes but Forest actually had a choice in who to take.

Really like Peter Reid. One of footballs great characters. Yes I know...
