Id agree that we haven't raised the ceiling but weve significantly raised the floor and over the course of a potential 60 game season it was crucial. We might not win the odd box office game because we have lost one of the best strikers in the world but I suspect we will be more durable and less likely to suffer horrible defeats like Bournemouth and West Ham last season and Forest the year before. We are a much more sustainable outfit IMO, with room for growth. Or you could say that we "only signed Harvey Barnes level players" and "got our 6th choice striker", like an absolute weapon would.

Theres tonnes of options for Eddie ane theres some players who will play both against Bradford and Arsenal. I think Thiaw plays both games and Schar back for CL.

If Isak had of played, we wouldnt have scored. We didnt create enough chances. Weve gone through spells like this before and come through them. At least we look solid and are controlling games, largely. Only Barca have outplayed us this season and we were decent.

Might sound daft but weve got 3/4 players on the pitch who are either rusty or haven't got up to speed and weve done alright. Second half i expect Bournemouth to come out strong.

Yeah I was saying that whilst we arent free flowing we are least solid. Weve seen plenty of NUFC sides go to places and get their tummy tickled. Its a solid base to start from, quite a few sides will get nothing from Villa, Leeds and Bournemouth away. Anyway, let's hope we can nick this.

Theres alot to unpick there. Looked all over the place first 10/15 but very comfortable beyond that but also haven't really looked like scoring. Willock has been awful. I thought Thiaw and Woltemade look impressive, Miley has done really well considering hes in a 2 man midfield. Hall is clearly getting up to speed, Botman the same but got better as the half went on. I dare say that Barnes and Elanga for Murphy and Willock might help us alot.

I noticed last night that Willock looked as sharp as ive seen him in a while, just from a fitness point of view. My memory is hazy but I know he cocked up a couple of big moments but ive never been particularly worried about his ability, just his robustness.

Maybe... i just cant see it. Bruno just demands to play, and while ive no doubt Eddie is capable of resting him, i suspect it wont happen. Id leave him out of the matchday squad altogether for Bradford. Id love nothing better than Miley to replace Bruno and win, it would transform our scope for change.

Oh hes a howler waiting to happen but thats where good coaching comes in. Eddie might need to shave 10% off his "confidence" on the ball but he will become better for it.
