There's someone on this forum really not happy right now. The north easts worst journalist in the mud.
-
The only thing this deal has going for it, is the fact no fucker wants him. Was the same with Isak TBF.
-
Because it fits a pattern. If you keep getting kicked in the shin, when someone swings their leg at you, you are going to believe you are going to get kicked again. To expect things to go well, is much more deluded at this stage.

We haven't been able to sign players and we have money to spend. We are going to have more money to spend, but im no more confident we will sign players. Forget a replacement for Isak, where is the CB, the goalkeeper, Wilsons replacement, Longstaffs replacement? I would have an entirely different view of this window had we looked remotely competent in the market, as it stands it looks as if we dont have a clue. If we sell Isak, id be surprised if we ended up with a replacement.
-
Sesko and Wissa would be making the best of a bad situation. But there is no situation that involves Isak in a Liverpool shirt in which I'll be happy with. It will be a blotch on an ownership which ive defended on multiple occasions.

Sounds like exactly the sort of name we would release to appease our fanbase today.

That's actually not what they meant. They said hes been nursing a thigh problem, had a scan which didnt turn up anything serious but it was enough for him to not be with the main group. They guessed he'd be going to Asia but it was just a guess. IMO the club would have been smart to make him travel.
-
I can entirely understand us taking our time for certain players, at certain points. However, at some point we need to actually sign some players. We have to get a forward and a CB, minimum and that's just to not have a disaster next season IMO. In order to actually push on we could do with a CM and a GK too. Weve got 3 weeks until the seasons starts.

My view on Guehi is that he'd be crackers to leave Palace now. Wait a year, have loads of options and take a juicy pay cheque. There's not a side in the league who wouldn't take him in 12 months and its not as though hes miserable at Palace.

I had your opinion when people where whinging pre July. We are now over half way through July, weve barely improved the team and potentially got our best player unsettled. It's each to their own on at what point they get frustrated but mine was the moment the Ekitike fiasco happened. Whatever our plan was, surely its not in dispute that its not gone well?
-
They are canny operators. They will have targets themselves. Theyve known Mbeumo has been leaving for a while too, so they will be on it. I could see someone like Omari Hutchinson going there.

It's the apparent pace of negotiation that is mind boggling. I understand they want to account for every penny but "being patient" so far has delivered us very little. Fine low ball at 25m but surely once its rejected you start the serious negotiation, with the idea of knocking 5m off the asking price. I know we dont truly know what's going on but within a day, we should be going back with something like 28 + 5. I dont understand how we seem to go 2 weeks between bids. We are told they are working hard but what exactly are they doing? Howay lads, get a wriggle on.
-
If they want 40, they will get 40. Brentford are rightly going to stand their ground. I dont mind us lowballing them, but at some point you need to show the colour of your money. I could see us doing 35 + 5 but that's about it. What we dont have is TIME.
-
It's ok lads. Brentford are notoriously soft negotiators.
-
There's a chance they are trying to get this done now, in order to get him to Asia with the lads. If we have a club doctor over there, he could even do a medical. They set off in the morning FWIW.
-
Aye Burnley, that's what I said. I stand by it. Wissa currently plays for Burnley. I mean, its not strictly true but we live in a post truth era.
-
Sorry must have autocorrected shit teams beginning with B.
-
Wissa in a year. Beware the African gene.
-
We will create more chances than Burnley. Wissa doesn't need to score 19 with us, he merely needs to be effective whenever Isak isnt playing.
-
I seem to remember Drogba hitting 30, then his African blood boiled to the surface, turning him into an absolute cripple.
