    Hatem Ben Arfa

Its far more simple than all that IMO. He needs better attacking players playing with him. Firstly, better players will read his game. Secondly, the opposition won't be able to double up on him.
  2. Time for some decisive action from Pards. He needs to make some big decisions and stick with them. Formation? Centre back? Strikers? I'd go for; Krul Simpson Taylor Colo Santon Perch Jonas Hba Cabaye Sammy Ba Front 4 should be good enough to carve out some good opportunities. Obviously Cisse for Ba if he's injured.
  3. 1-3 west brom win. Could be a real horrible day IMO.

    Sammy Ameobi

He won't sustain his youthfulpace. There was a time when Shola was quicker and had the same unusual style,it won't last in my opinion. He certainly won't remain a winger in the long term. Eventually someone will see him centrally. The way someone starts isn't always the way they turn out.

Could do with a bit of magic on sunday.

    Sammy Ameobi

I think he could turn out to be a target man type. At some point he's going to put the beef on, when that happens his game will slow. Would love to see him become a real powerhouse goal scorer.
  7. Tiote was terrible. You simply can't afford to gift the opposition the ball in our third of the pitch, had we been playing a premiership side we would have got punished. Harper is well past it. Overall I was impressed by the lads coming though. Ferguson and Sammy show far more promise than Vuckic. A comfortableish 1-0 by the second string in Europe is nothing to be sniffed at.
  8. Haven't read any of this thread, so here mine; Harper 6 worries me with kicking Santon 7 was ok Perch 7 very assured Taylor 7 was ok Ferguson 8 great crossing Obertan 6.5 same old but good finish Tiote 4 gave the ball away at least 5 times Anita 4 didn't impose himself Bigirimana 6 was the best of the three Sammy 8 mom, great display Cisse 6 needs that goal Shola 6 put himself about Colo 6 usual self, great clearance Cabaye -
  9. Can't believe that we've taught the brugge fans to sing 'we hate sunderland'.

    Alan Pardew

Got no real problem with Pardew. He's having trouble with his formation at the moment, as its not quite clicking, perhaps he will go back to 433. However he does have his side organised, which I respect, we are very hard team to play. Hopefully, we can climb the table soon and have a good run in Europe. Still fully behind Pards.
  11. Probably this; Simpson Williamson Perch Santon Obertan Tiote Anita Cabaye Marveaux Cisse
  12. He's our thug though. Even Barton can see the battle between good and evil that is taking place today.

    Kick It Out

I go to enough matches and if I'm honest, I can barely remember hearing much racism in the last 10 years. When it happens, its often one fuck nugget, who certainly doesn't represent the majority. Where players are concerned, Roberts is right, the book should be thrown at them and examples should be made. IMO the biggest problem with racism concerns nationalities, rather than colour. I.e, your far more likely to hear something said about a frenchman or a spaniard than you are a black man. However, its a different story on the continent.
  14. Its like 3 times in 20 years I think. Pathetic wankers. A nice thunderbastard from HBA please.
  15. I have a horrible sinking feeling about this one. The mackems are absolute dog shite but I just see O Neil firing them up for this. Pardew has one massive decision to make this weekend... Formation. What's 'Martys' derby record like? At Villa etc?

    sunderland

Aye I agree with the posts above. If I had a choice I'd fuck a supermodel too, sick of fucking the mackems every year.

    St James' Park

Wasn't £1m the amount we missed out on Lille's valuation of Debuchy by? We could have had Man City's money in the bank... i doubt they'd have stumped up the cash for Debuchy, however nominal the difference was between ours and their valuation. Which was my point. Talking finance is irrelevant, as it has very little impact on the pitch. Unless of course we are talking mega bucks from sponsors.

    St James' Park

What difference does it make? I mean one or two million in who's pocket?
  19. I genuinely didn't think things could get lower for Liverpool after Dalglish last year. I honestly don't see where they go from here. Probably back to Benitez.

    St James' Park

I really don't care about any of it because it makes very little difference to us. It was always St James's so they never really renamed it. It's not the city or the fans that are dealing with Wonga, so it doesn't hurt our reputation, just the owner. The money won't be invested in the first team. The money that is invested in the academy is irrelevant, if we dont know how much it costs to run an academy in the first place. When Wonga leave, the whole thing will be forgotten anyway, in fact people will forget it a week into the new season. Oh and the moral issue, some aren't happy with us "making a deal with devil". Was it better advertising alcohol? Which also tends to pray on some of the vunerable in society. Or how about Northern Rock, which was a source of embarrasment? A load of hot air IMO.
  21. I expect a shocking decision from the ref today, don't know why. Sending off, penalty, offside, horror challenge or something.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

You know what my favourite thing about Ben Arfa is... his walk. Anyone else noticed he has a little waddle/strut? Like some sort of footballing Patrick Swayze.
  23. Think Downing would be alright at another club (not us). In fact i can see the Mackems taking him.
