Sure we beat what can only be descibed as a decent side. However, they are hard working and didn't make the game easy for us. Apart from their away game against Arsenal i don't think they have had a bad performance this season. The lads can take alot of pride in the fact that it was our first comeback and three goals of the season. However, the fans and players most not go over board. We have a different type of test on saturday.

Agree with that. We need a centre back in their prime and proven in the prem, there aren't too many. Distin is an option. Come the summer we need to be looking for a centre midfielder!

If we sign a left back and centre back that will be fine, so long as there both capable at this level. I'd make our priorites Upson and Bridge or Leighton Bains and Lucas Neill. We need to start our enquiring now!

I believe Emre to be a bit of an enigma. He seems to play far better along side a defensive midfielder, which allows him a free role in attack. However, i still don't see him hitting double figures in a season because i don't think he gets into the box enough. If he were to hit double figures i believe most of his goals would have to some from the edge of the area. Butt has been fantastic in the last few games but i still feel Parker is a very good player and has alot to offer our midfield. I'm a firm believer in don't fix it if it aint broken, so if Parker is fit i think a place on the bench is the best option. Come Blackburn, i want to see Dyer replace Milner on the right. We need to find someone to play left back too.

My views: Given- 6 Didn't have a great deal to do in the game apart from one save. Poor distribution. Solano- 7 Leadership along the back four and a good assist. Taylor- 7 Coming on game by game, good communication and spirit. Ramage- 7 You can tell these two have played together in the reserves. I say let them play and flourish together. Baba- 5 Poor performance and at fault for the goal. It's becoming apparent that left back is our weakest area. Boos were too much IMO. Milner-6 One of his poor peformances for us, failed to show much threat. Butt- 9 Absolute collosous. The guy is turning himself for zero to hero, keep it going butt. Linked with sib well on the floor but not so well in the air. Showed confidence by scoring a good penalty. Newcastles performance: Glenn picked the side i wanted him to and we won but only because of good character. First time we have scored 3 goals this season i believe? More please!
