  1. Roswell doesn't have a relegation clause - still on 70k per week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Looks like a rugby league team Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Didn't see goal/ Villa game/sending off but ... There is no sending off if the foul occurs during a genuine attempt to play the ball. But "deliberate fouls - including holding, pulling or pushing, not playing the ball, serious foul play, violent conduct or deliberate handball in order to deny a goalscoring opportunity - will still result in dismissal." Such a shame that it couldn't have been worth it to Huawei, just for the lolz that it would have brought.
  5. Pickford to Newcastle is just trolling the Mackems for shits and giggles. I doubt there is more than a 5% interest in him, but it worth constantly talking about it just to winde up Drearyside
  6. Even they don't want to live in their own real world - and I can't blame them - I wouldn't want to either
  7. Aye, I've always wondered that as well. Seems stupid not have the officials more evenly spread across the pitch. It's to encourage the Referee to continue running his full diagonal. They introduced the AAR on the opposite side of the field from the AR and they found that the referee was then not getting into a good position (sort of boxed between the two sets of ARs) and was then getting stuck ourside of the Penalty area in the middle of the field. Moving the AAR to the side of the AR meant that the referee could continue his diagonal run deeper into the left side of the Penalty Area where he had a better view of the shenanigans going on in the Penalty Area.
  8. The TV commentator also mentioned that Sunderland lead the league for the most Premier League relegations. Which is nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Tbf this is what I've been saying all along, no point sacking him now and pay full price. His contract is either halved or he can go for nowt. Not sure he'd take the latter, but everyone has that 50% clause. That's IF Sunderland thought to/were able to include a relegation clause in Moyes's contract. Personally I doubt it's there and this seems like clutching at straws to avoid the future that's staring them in the face. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. RTG now claiming that they are waiting for relegation to be confirmed, where the 50% pay cut takes place, so that they can sack Moyes for half price
  11. Oh, next season it will be ..... "its a tough league with Hull, Boro down and with Villa and Norwich rebuilt and add in Huddersfield, Leeds and Fulham playing well etc. Mags never had any strong competition and they still only scraped promotion. Blah blah blah" Mackematics
  12. Trump logic - take the news you don't like, and call it fake news. Then make something up to deflect attention and now everyone can believe the new reality. Free Ticket Skunks will become the new truth on RTG.
  13. Mackems in total denial of their ticket situation, despite so many of them only going to games on the freebies. And now attempting to create an alternative reality where it's not them flooding free tickets but now it's us. Fake News but soon to be the new truth in RTG What a make believe world they live in. But who would want to live in their world when it's better to live in denial.
  14. Or from a thow-in. Which makes the AR's decision fun when there might have been a flick on from the throw, but also might have gone directly to the player in OSP.
  15. It would be worth it just to see the melt down on Drearyside Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Penalties are intended to replace the Goal Scoring Opportunity within open play that was denied by the foul/handling etc, so they have a place in the game but I think the process needs to be redefined. The current rules give too much advantage to the shooter (lets play a game of ideas that sound good but a probably crap) First, I would make the Penalty a one shot deal (with no follow up allowed). Resolves all the encroachment issues. Second, I would remove "feinting" during the kick/run-up from the process - you never see a player feint like that in a regular play as the keeper is free to challenge the shot, so why allow it in the penalty when the keepers movement is artificially restricted. Third , I would allow the keeper to move as soon as the player starts his run up (They can always take a smaller runup). And make the penalty shot more like a regular one-on-one play. I'd settle for just removing feinting
  17. Ego and stubbornness on the part of the referee to accept that 1 - he was wrong and 2 - he couldn't get out of it So he refused to listen to the 4th official
  18. Agree - Encroachment at the PK has become almost an accepted part of the game. And if it was called "per the letter of the law" there would be a dozen retakes for every penalty awarded. It makes me wonder what the official direction the referees are being given by the leagues about how to manage encroachment. The referees get coaching and guidance on so many parts of the game (what to focus on, what to pay less attention to) that you wonder what they are being asked to do with encroachment.
  19. The referee had a momentary brain fart, he mixed up the restart for an Encroaching attacker when the goal was missed and applied it when the goal was scored. Let's see who knows the penalty rules... The Attacking team encroaches, but the keeper saves the kick pushing the ball out over the goal line - The correct Restart is? The defending team encroaches, but the goal is scored - the correct restart is ? The defending team encroaches, but the goal is not scored - the correct restart is ? The Attacking team encroaches, but the attacker misses the kick shooting over the bar - The correct Restart is? Both teams encroach, but the goal is scored - correct restart is? The Attacking team encroaches, and the goal is scored - The correct Restart is?
  20. Hopefully that will "tap the brakes" on this idea and it will no longer happen.
  21. I almost wish that they had beaten Leicester today. Would have been funnier to give them a small inkling of hope today, before normal programming resumes at the weekend.
  22. Yeah, he shouldn't have said it. But he did. And for us it's funny AF [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The funny things, is that reading through RTG, they all seem to think that they should have been mid-table safe when in reality, for the last 4 seasons they have been in the relegation positions for 90+% of the time. And they blame Moyes for his early season statement that this season would be a relegation battle.....when a quick check of the facts show that based on most of the last four seasons that's where they have been and what they have been doing.
  24. Watching Bundesliga and Hertha Berlin, and they just showed the players taking an escalator down to the pitch. So wierd see the players riding down the escalator - looks like they should be in a shopping center https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBeW1JHh1NU Anywhere else have such a crazy path to the pitch?
