  1. I think that would have come under the 'front loaded sponsorship money etc' bit of the statement
  2. If Hitler only has one ball (I believe the other is under the Albert Hall...) Would it hurt him more or less than a di-bollocked one if he were kicked in the nether region(s).
  3. A few did, but you just came back with... "It is a possibility" It may be unlikely, but it's still very possible, and by the looks of things quite common (granted more-so in smaller Private companies). I'd counter that with a view that is LESS likely in smaller private companies. In my experience (and as an auditor for 4 and a bit years I worked with a different company every couple of weeks of all sizes) the smaller the company the more direct control the owner has. Conversly, the larger the company the more diluted the ownership and the more delegated the control
  4. I know its no real excuse and others will have had similar. But we have played Man Utd and Arsenal away twice, Chelsea at home and Liverpool away. Outside of the top four we have also played Everton and Villa away. From the bottom three last season we played Reading and Birmingham away. I dare say that we have had a slightly harder run if fixtures than most teams at the bottom of the form league
  5. And quoting Wikipedia edit - in response to Chez
  6. Go back to August 31st. Would you have said that? He has made on big mistake, no doubt about that. But the majority of people on here were more than happy with the way Ashley was taking the cllub prior to this.
  7. Already said he did not do it for the cash. I actually believe that part. Its a fairly well acknowledged fact that football is not a profitable business to be in if your the club's owner. Tax break-tastic. Offset losses from the club against your profits in other areas - corporation tax? Its unlikely that we are part of a tax group involving Sports Direct and his other companies.
  8. That wage figure will include everyone from the tea lady to the chairman I reckon. It would make sense for any chairman/owner to look after their close friends and family in terms of remuneration when job descriptions are so vague (what did Kenneth Shepherd do for us etc). Not saying its right, but it definitely happens.
  9. We could do a lot worse. Doubt we'll see Sven back in England for a while though
  10. Given Beye/Edgar - Taylor - Colo - Bassong Geremi - Butt - Nacho Owen Xizco Zoggy Not sure what I'd do if Martins is fit re Zoggy.
  11. If we are going to get another member of the global plutocracy who wants to play our national game of Premiershipopoly, it'll probably be him. I'm worried we don't find a buyer at all, and are stuck with a disenchanted Ashley. There will always be a buyer for a Premier League club at the right price. It just depends on what price Ashley is prepared to go to
  12. Have you seen that video of her warming up and shit? You'd have to put a pillow over her face, and that would potentially lead to a crime. There are other means of shutting her up. We have the tools
  13. But the question is.... Would you?? As long as she doesn't sing, probably
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/7616034.stm was just on ssn as well saying he was in dubai, hope he's not on the piss again Is that even allowed?
  15. I want someone in. I want someone who we can be looking to to drive the lads forward. I want someone with a growing reputation and strong enough will to implement his ideas onto every player in the squad. I want someone who can work with the other players in the club, be it Wise, Shearer, Ashley, Jesus Christ. Whoever they are. I want a team who trust eachother. Could that be Keegan? Things would have to change but maybe a tweak here and there would be a good thing. Could that be Poyet or Ince. Unlikely as they would immediately have a weakened position with the fans and some players due to their links with Wise. Who else could it be? Martinez? (my choice if not Keegan) Zico? Terim? whould the final 2 be able to work alongside a Director of Football. Its time for the board to draw a line under the past 2 weeks and make the bravest decision in their professional career
  16. You really are. What part of the job description does it say 'work with players you don't want, no final say. shut up and get on with it'. he's put his ego in front of the club, rightly or wrongly. for what its worth ian dowie is doing the same thing, as is zola. maybe they shouldn't put up with it, but i can tell you right now, if they do it will benefit the club more than if they dont. Owen and Barton for sale on the last day. How can he possibly work in that environment. After all his public defense of Barton. He was constantly being undermined. Lets ignore that. Friday before deadline day. Keegan interview. 'Everyone in the club has a price'. It was known prior to the 1st Sept what the score was. The media conveniently forget this point.
  17. He's f***ing s*** tbh On a par with Gui'Varch. We lost 1-4 that day iirc. Owen Hattrick, after I had asked him to go easy on us. Bastard!
  18. Well said that man, it hurts like hell, but it's not the end of the world. You see thats the thing, I'm not sure that it does hurt. Collymore at Anfield hurt, as did Cantona. Wolves in the FA cup hurt, so did Poyet at Wembley. Bobby getting sacked had me in a rage, Souness going had me being estatic. The only feeling I have now is that Xisco can get us back in this game then we claw back a credible draw and then bring Keegan back next week
  19. I might start supporting England again. The Toon has finally slumped to the pointless depths of our National Team. I need a big pick me up early next week. And I know who I want that to be!
  20. I've read posts by others recently saying that something inside them has died. Its taken today for that to happen to me, but I couldn't look anyone in the face after the past fortnight and claim to be proud of the club I support
  21. Based on that, could Keegan effectively motivate the players if he was to come back?
  22. I'm numb to it tbh. As soon as Keegan left it was inevitable that this sort of performance would be made
