Same here really. Incidentally in the time took me to go to the bookies today Chelsea's odds of winning the lot have come in to 20/1, at least with Corals. Was going to stick a load on, but I've just stuck a 10a down, anyone that saw Chelsea last night in the second half, will know this bet isn't just a stab in the dark. I think winning in Valencia, and taking the piss in the second half at one of Europe's most difficult places to win, the way they did is equally as impressive as annihilating a mediocre Italian side.

5th best blah blah blah. Utter bollocks tbh Like your patter. The only thing I would disagree with Rebellious is we have the potential to be fifth best, the potential we have is limitless.
-
It goes without saying. Lets be perfectly honest here, people that know absolutely fuck all about football seem to make at least 30% of this message board (Vic types etc....).
-
Would like to see the two best sides in Europe meet. I said at the start of the season Chelsea would beat Man Utd in the final, I still think that. I'm actually going to the bookies soon, and I'm sticking something on Chelsea doing the quadruple. 33/1.

Good point Lovejoy. After the top four where's next on the list? With the right backing he could make us part of a big five at the very least. The guy is a genious. I think he'll go to Madrid if Capello fails to win the league though, or possibly AC Milan, who will sack Ancelotti when they lose tonight.
-
Wembley would be half empty every week. They should share with QPR, that would satisfy demand.
-
What a disgrace. Who do Fulham think they are? Staying in the Premiership is a hunge achievement for Fulham let alone comijng top half like he had them, I hope they gan doon next season.
-
He should have been getting the message across to show a bit more urgency. If this isn't Roeder, then Harper should be dropped next game even if Given's not fit. funny how no c*** was on Emre's back when he sinfully wasted the last minutes of a match that actually f****** MATTERED an incredibly rare good point from Vic. It's all the mentality that cunt has imstilled in them. "Fakkin Arsenaww howwwm drawaaah wiww do" fuck off
-
Right it;s 0-0, last minute our keeper walks like a fuckin slug to get the ball, afuckin slug. NOW YOU TELL ME, if this is Robson or Keegan's team he does that?
-
Cheer up Stevie, Villa got a point. It was the headline on CNN.
-
See yeez cunts though, you've all missed my point. Seconds to go, Harper goal kick, he genbuinelu couldn't give a fuck, so slow, and that's Roeder, mentality, imagine that under Keegan, one minute to go.
-
fuck off 2 pints
-
If I manabged the toon I'd have cunts behind me, but I tell you now, and I fuckin mean this, with 60 seconds to go 0-0 at home AGAINST ANY CUNT my keeper would not dilly dally, he'd get the cunt doon and boot it up the pitch. 52 fuckin thoosand people there, now imagine this is a titke decider, Harper is strollin about "right I'll take my time". that's not his fault. ITS FUCKIN PIGEON HEED, ITS A DISGRACE WE DIDNT WANT TO LOSE THE GAME TODAY, FUCK WINNING, THEY WERE THERE FOR THE TAKING. IT DOESNT MATTER HOW MANY TALES I HEAR ABOUT SOME CUNT IN WHICKHAM HELPING ROEDER'S CAR OOT THE SNOW IN THE 80'S THE CUNT IS A DISGRACE. THE WHOLE MENTALITY WAS SETTLE FOR A DRAW, THE MEDIOCRITY ATTITUDE IS DEEPLY INGRAINED INTO THE PLAYERS, FUCK OFF ROEDER YOU CUNT.

The "midlands is a disgrace to this country" comment is so absurd, I'm not even going to reply to it. Unusual, most supporters of other clubs I speak to would rate Villa Park as one of the more enjoyable away days of the season, but hey, I don't want to get in the way of the rant ... I've only been to Villa twice, last time was 1997 when Terry Mac was manager for that game, and honestly it's such a depressing place, though we've had two good results when I've been 0-2 and 2-2. I'm not blaming you for the West Midlands being a disgrace, maybe disgrace is a harsh word to use. Awful that's a better word. It's the worst example of post war architecture I can think of. I've been back since to St Andrew's, every time I go, I thank God for not afflicting me with being brought up there. I don't mean to be insulting but that's how I feel, and if you don't like my views, fine, but this is a Newcastle board and I'm entitled to say what I think from a toon perspective. They apparently have Britain's biggest nuclear bunker right under Birmingham City Centre, if any foreigner aggressor had've had reasonable intelligence, they'd have left Birmingham alone. Congratulations, the same outdated, sweeping generalisations like the "you're just a small town in Scotland / you're all on the dole / you'll never work again" rubbish that probably makes you froth at the mouth when you hear it from away fans at your place. The point I'm making is Birmingham is a shithole and somewhere I can't comprehend living. That can be disputed either way, and brummies are entitled to put up an argument. What isn't up for dispute is "Noocartheww ithh in Thcotland". The people that say that are showing a) how utterly dull they are when that is the best they can do and b) they're dense. No body sings you'll never work again at us. Anyway I'm off to the match, good luck today.

Has anyone ever went to the bookies with a plan, yet when they've got there it's went tits up? I had no intention of backing the toon today, but when I got there I thought fuck it. Got a £20 accumulator Toon 2/1 Sunderland 6/4 Carlisle 4/6 Monkeys 4/11 Crewe 8/11 pays £588.85

I don't think you can have a reasonable debate when someones opinion is one of the single most ridiculous things seen in the internet's 46 year history. Jose is s***, nothing special about him, he's taken Chelsea to new depths, he honest makes Ian Porterfield look like Marcello Lippi etc.....etc.... pathetic.... I've just realised it's not only footballing success that Stevie measures in terms of number of fans I could read that 1000 times and still think "what's that daft cunt on aboot noo?".

Man Utd have had some brilliant sides, probably overall better than Arsenal's but, I'll argue with anyone who says Arsenal weren't more measured than Manchester. I'm, not saying Fergie incorporated Bobby Gould's Wimbledon philosophy, but they were certainly slightly more direct than Arsenal, with throughout the 90's, a British style game based on two out and out wingers, in fairness since Queiroz came in they altered that at times, much to their detriment. Aye. I would say that this season, and a couple of others that ManU have been more exciting than Arsenal. Maybe not as aesthetically pleasing, but more exciting. That's true, but their play isn't as measured. Arsenal fans used to slate Pires, but I think he was fundamental to their style over the last 6 years.

I'd agree on Wigan, but Portsmouth at least have a little history. Talking of Fulham - that's another great away trip, lovely setting, nice old gabled stand, right by the river. For that reason alone, I hope they stay up. For my money there are too many NW clubs. I'd happily lose Blackburn too. I'd like to see Wolves, Leeds, Sunderland, West Brom, and Forest back up. If I had a choice purely on nothingness and being sick of visiting shitholes too far out the way, I'd get rid of: Wigan, Bolton, Portsmouth, Reading, Charlton, Fulham, Aston Villa, and Watford. Replacing them with: Sunderland, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton, Ipswich Town, Stoke (anyone that was there in 1995 will know why), and Derby. You're determined to drag me into a row, aren't you? Nothingness? I've been watching them since 1975: 1 x European Cup 1 x League championship 4 x League Cups 1 x European Super Cup Funny definition of nothingness, being the fourth most successful English club. I bet you think Everton are a nothing club too, don't you? Tsk, get a grip man, you're too full of hate. No Everton aren't a nothing club. I'm not sure if they have the capacity to become a regular player in the top four again, but you can't deny they're a decent club. Villa won trophies pre-1900 and when football was on it's knees 80-83 (League Cups don't count), Nottingham Forest dominated a continent, and East German club won a European trophy, and I don't think a great deal about them neither. All I'm saying is, Villa away, it hardly makes your heart skip a beat. Boring crack, shit atmosphere, shit game, shit journey. The midlands is a disgrace to this country, I can't blame people for growing up there, but I can do without West Midlands sides in the Premiership. "Holte Enders in the skoi, yip aye yip, yip aye oh" makes "shoes off if ye love the toon" sound like Bohemian Rhapsody. Not many would miss Villa mate, in the same way Bolton won't be missed.

Villa will never be so important that I will have a significant opinion on them, if they went down, you'd hardly notice.

I found this very difficult to do. Can you give two positives about all the premiership clubs to you personally. To be honest I found it nearly impossible to do two for each club, for some I could only think of one, and others, none at all. Give it a go. Arsenal - Have produced the best football this countries ever seen, Wenger is a genious Aston Villa - Martin O'Neill, so non descript that's the only positive I can think of Blackburn - Best away pub in English football, gives people under 50 the chance to see what England was like half a century ago Bolton - Charlton - Not far for me to go from my London base, Robert Lee Chelsea - John Terry's attitude, sell us good players Everton - Possibly sixth or seventh best away support in England, local fans Fulham - Gave us £5m for that wank Alain Goma, fantastic location for a ground Liverpool - Hot dog van on Anfield Road Manchester City - Psycho - always respected the bloke, ground move - at least we don't have to go that Mossside hell hole anymore Manchester United - Second best away support in the country, enviable youth system Middlesbrough - A19, A66 if you're going home via the A1 Portsmouth - Harry Redknapp - one of the best characters in football , giving us £2m for AOB Reading - Success on collective teamwork rather than individual ego's Sheffield United - good fans, in the North(ish) Tottenham - Watford - Get what it says on the tin West Ham - Almost exclusively local fanbase Wigan - in the North
