  1. Sheff Wed trail so Peterbrough's relegation won't be confirmed today as it stands
  2. Dave Bassett snoozing on the job there
  3. Not having to wait up to watch 30 seconds of scabby footage on that abomination of a show.
  4. Looks like that Eoghan (sp?) guy from X Factor
  5. Torres is always either just back from being injured or being rested for a bigger game. It's boring as fuck listening to Benitez's excuses. BBC aren't showing Liverpool first, fucking hell it must be Easter
  6. There's an awful lot of shite in the Premiership, but it's best we don't run before we can walk. There'll be the other 2 promoted teams, Wigan, Wolves, West Ham or Hull, Bolton, Blackburn and maybe even Birmingham down there next season, if we get off to a decent start then maybe set the bar a little higher, but our number 1 priority is survival. However, some smart arse once said: "Reach for the sky and you might at least reach the ceiling, reach for the ceiling and you'll barely get off the ground."
  7. Having seen the goals just now on SSN...is Nolan's an OG? It looks like he scuffs it and it bobbles up and in off their defender
  8. This shower of shite have had three managers, and their masterplan to give Jim Gannon 3 months to learn the squad to start the re-building process for next season has backfired because he's leaving at the end of the season. The players' confidence must be shot, nobody wants to or can manage this set of fuckers and the only motivation we should need is the fact the cunts released a DVD for beating our under 9's & Steven Taylor in the league cup. Their best player has fucked off to our promotion rivals and Mackail-Smith is only a sub, let's have this vile set of tossers and teach Barry Fry a lesson for bringing big Ron back into football.
  9. Two big men with wingers who can't cross, fail. Still though, even if we played our best 11 we play shite away from home, so resting a few will make little difference to the performance.
  10. Team is: Harper, Simpson, Williamson, Colo, Enrique, Pancrate, Smith, Nolan, Barton, Shola, Best. Barton on the left, not sure on the subs yet.
  11. Didn't the Beeb show Marseille? I seem to remember some of our games were on BBC3, like Valerenga at home.
  12. Joe Royle's absolute bumming of Titus Bramble in every match of our Roeder UEFA cup run. He absolutely loved him, you'd have thought he was the next Maldini the way old Joe went on about it.
  13. What did he do to celebrate the 2nd goal? On the podcast Lowes said he went "full length" in the dugout, so he either fell or brought out his Klinsmann impression. I guess that's why he broke out the suit, didn't fancy being interviewed in a messy tracksuit
  14. He probably doesn't want to lose his teeth is my guess. How many players lose their teeth during a match like? It's hardly common. obviously gumshields were a pointless invention then. He wrecked his teeth against Wigan at SJP in the Roeder caretaker spell IIRC, been wearing the gumshield since.
  15. Not much to say that hasn't already been said but anyway: First half was alright, we were comfortably the better team but our final ball was lacking. Not sure how much the conditions were disrupting things but the ball was noticeably slowing in areas of the pitch so I imagine dribbling and slick passing was harder than usual. In terms of chances, well Carroll outright refused his, from 10 yards I don't care if it's on his wrong foot just hit the fucking thing. Lovenkrands had one of those nights where nothing went right for him, and Carroll was wrestling with their centre half for the majority, so all in all chances were few and far between. Forest meanwhile showed no ambition and were looking to keep us at 0 and worry about nicking a goal later. Having said that, Blackstock had a great chance to make it 1-0 but he fluffed his lines completely. Second half Forest showed some ambition which gave us more chance to use the pace of Routledge, but for some reason (probably the conditions as mentioned above) he kept cutting back inside where he does a lot of good work anyway. The goal was a bit fortunate in that Forest cleared it off their own man and Nolan played a simple ball to Shola who did all the hard work and on his left picked out the corner, good lad. Forest decided to bring plan B into operation and threw on Earnshaw, who despite scoring goals at this level forever was deemed benchworthy. A couple of half chances for us, Nolan on his left saved and Routledge - who is either deceptively strong or Forest are as weak as piss - with a decent effort straight at Camp. The second goal was brilliant, short corner to Jonas who looked like he was going to keep it in the corner, 4 Forest lads trotted over to try and get it back and 2 passes later they were all out the game and Enrique was beneath everyone. Job done and barring some sort of disaster, we'll be promoted over one of the Easter games. Hopefully we'll go on and take the title, WBA will probably push us all the way but we've got nothing to fear from our remaining games. Alan Wiley is a really fussy wanker A particularly good example is a free kick he had taken 3 times because it wasn't taken from the exact spot about half way inside our own half, by us. Once we're back in the big time it'll be a shame to have our weekends ruined by egotistical fucknuts again. Harper - Nout to do, couple of routine saves. Good starting positions tonight as well, a few times in the first half he was out like a shot. Simpson - Didn't fancy attacking much, didn't do much massively wrong Enrique - Legend. Glad he got his goal, let's hope he keeps this up Williamson - Fantastic, contender for man of the match IMO. Lost nothing in the air and dominated our box Coloccini - Solid again from our most improved player. Routledge - Good in spells, been better, will be worse no doubt. Jonas - Didn't have the beating of their fullback as much as he has in previous matches but always an outlet. Nolan - Better than his usual shite but not great by any means, when he was last on the pile on I assumed Jose was dead Guthrie - Drove us forward quite a bit first half but final ball was lacking. Corners were shite. Lovenkrands - Not his night, but a willing runner. Carroll - SHOOT MAN Shola - Good finish, good assist, even worked hard after he'd scored. What annoys me is how long it takes him to get back onside after he's bothered to close down the keeper, then it comes back and he doesn't challenge and people go mental at him. Hughton - Picked the best team we have available to us, and we play better football than we did 4 months ago. Keep it up.
