I live a few minutes away myself, seriously tempted to go out for a run 'past' there. Seriously, go scout it out and take your camera too, you never know! Right, we'll go round, set off the fire alarm, evacuation o'clock, snappy snappy, mystery solved.

Might just walk the 5 minutes over to Jesmond Dene House and demand to see Hatem

Can't get Leeds anymore, think they're now seeded due to Sheff United's loss.

And he's scored, the first goal of the whole Euro 2012 qualifying campaign

ESPN Classic Now - Spurs 1 - 4 Newcastle

I'd rather see Barcelona vs Inter in the last 8 or 4 than in the group stage, same as I'd rather not see average teams get through to get mullered in the latter stages

Can't get Sunderland

Yeah, it was a very loose example of 2 teams - I'd probably be playing Campbell in the 2nd round for example, he's got to start somewhere. The youngsters are the wildcards, and putting the odd one or two in amongst senior players will help them. Vuckic seems to me like he can be a real game changer but he's young and will have good games and bad games as he develops.

That's exactly my point, last season our backup was the youth team and one or two senior players (out of necessity). This season our backup is much more senior, shite all the same but should be able to beat most Championship and below teams: Play the "second team" and see how far we get, if the draw is (very) kind we could find ourselves at the business end of things
-
My apologies, didn't see it got denied, I just saw that alien looking fella on SSN yesterday with his computer and some bullshit about Eric Roy being nice to Niall Quinn because they used to play together
-
We played our weakened side because we havent got the strength in depth though, it wasnt like we fancied our chances of winning wih the kids it was down to saving(which backfired anyway with Guthrie, Ameobi...) our first team for the league. But since then we've brought in Routledge, Perch, Campbell, Best, Williamson and got Xisco & Barton back. We have far more depth now than we did this time last season, and whilst that depth probably wouldn't cut it in the Prem I'd fancy it to win away at Peterborough in the cup (for example).

First team: Harper Simpson Enrique Colo Campbell Routledge Guthrie Barton Jonas Nolan Carroll Second team: Krul Perch Kadar S Taylor Williamson R Taylor Smith Vuckic (Gosling, one day) Best/Xisco/Kazenga/Ranger etc Lovenkrands Shola The point is, one of the perks of being shit is that we have about 15 players who are as shit as each other so it won't make a huge difference if we play them in the cup against poor teams.
-
he put out a full team for the west brom 4th round tie, when we're in the middle of the promotion campaign, is their a difference? It was the FA Cup, it's held in higher regard - and off the top of my head Krul and Kadar played so not completely full strength.

This could have been 30 nevermind 3, Taylor if you lose this bet I'd give up if I were you. How the hell did Eduardo not score

Aye, glad it's back to normal again too with the midnight finish. Think it's still 6pm, nufc.com have it as 6pm and the countdown on Sky Sports News earlier had it closing at 6pm, will happily be told otherwise like as I prefer it at midnight.

I raised the point in the Others Clubs transfers thread - they have half a dozen centre backs but not many fullbacks, perhaps the rumours that Bruce doesn't rate Angeleri are true?
-
It'll be Ivanovic with Terry I think, impressed at right back and once Bosingwa's back he can focus on being a centre back again, with Alex as backup
-
Bit weird, maybe the stories that Bruce doesn't rate Angeleri are true? They've got a fuckton of centre halves so presumably he'll play right back?
-
The Senior team? Seriously? Yes
