  1. And England are lucky because they scored 3 goals. exactly. alanskarer needs to take his head out of his arse. Yeah thats exactly what I meant, well read. We played the best football in this tournament and deserved to go through. Good luck in the final. We played by far the best football in Euro 96 (big people's football) and lost on pens. Not that I'm bitter or anything
  2. If he was the understudy like the article suggests and the guy he was an understudy to left maybe he isn't good enough to do it on his own
  3. Could be any Rangers player really. Barry Ferguson even. Are all Rangers players freebies like?
  4. Nobody here cares. Eh? If our under 21s have got to the semi final and now the final, and our national team have actually started to win, how are we falling? Or do you just mean the country in general is shit?
  5. You're not alanshearer, you fraud, your username is wrong. Latest Member: BigAl Uh-oh.
  6. Party in the city where the heat is on, lie on the beach till the break of dawn
  7. Spurs!? Marseille. Sorry I had a breakdown at the very idea of anybody growing up not supporting Spurs.
  8. The difference is Moyes has taken a series of gambles that have paid off. Lescott, Jags, Cahill all performed at a lower level and someone took a punt on them in the top league. They could have turned out shite, fortunately for him they haven't. Contrast that with Spurs and the only player in recent memory you've signed from the Championship is Gareth Bale at a fee of up to £10m, which is more than the Everton signings put together. As for Villa's signings, they sum up the price you have to pay for your England players these days. Davies, at £9m, spent a season at Villa first so they had the option to buy, and I don't think he's been bad by any means. Milner at £12m, well we said at the time he's overpriced but when you think he's 23 and already has UEFA cup experience and has played about 50 Under 21 games, he's obviously highly thought of. Contrast him with Bentley who cost Spurs about £16m and hasn't done much, for example Milner has been in the England squad this season more than Bentley has. Reo-Coker at £8m, most said was a decent buy having been good for West Ham and England Under 21 captain, for whatever reason it's gone sour for him but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Shorey I think was turd when he first arrived, got dropped for 6 months and was decent again at the tailend of the season, but £5m for a man who had ust broken into the England squad isn't a lot of money - although in contrast Everton only paid £6m for Baines who has grown into a top notch left back imo, and is about 4 years younger. Marlon Harewood however, is shit.
  9. I hope somebody really random gets it. Somebody really random with a freeview channel.
  10. Hart may be the loudest man in the world "He will fucking shoot, so get fucking ready"
  11. How high did he fucking jump to get out the way
  12. I also remember him and Taylor getting bullied by Dean Ashton when we played away at West Ham. Forgot about that game completely, selective memory I guess.
  13. He's played about 3 games for us at Centre half - West Ham (h) when he came on for an hour and was good, Reading at home under Keegan which was an easy game and Stoke away, where he did very well by all accounts. He's had many shockers at full back though, so I'm not that bothered if he goes.
  14. Queen is only worth 150m or something Get em out! But...she's really old
  15. Lita may be free but he'd get arrested within weeks of being here. Last resort IMO.
  16. Fair enought though, interesting that llambias finally speaks when season ticket renewals are arriving on doorsteps. How "many" of our transfer dealings under Ashley were done hush hush? There's no reason why selling the club would be any different
  17. "Here's a first touch for Xisco, the Newcastle United man....easily dispossesed"
  18. Just a thought... Ever heard of bars or internet streams? But hey ho...if supporting/following/talking about your own country requires you to be able to sit at home and watch telly then I'm very puzzled and a bit amused I have sky it makes no odds to me Also I don't think anyone has ever muttered the words, "Coming down the pub to watch the Under 21 game?" Well why did you argue with my initial comment I just said people dont really seem to care. And that seems to be the case....or do you disagree? I didn't argue, like I said it was just a thought. People don't seem interested because it's not that easy to watch the games. I used to watch just about every Under 21 game when Sky had them, since they moved to Setanta I don't bother. So yes, I agree that people don't really seem to care, like you said I guess they could go out of their way to watch it but it's just not a big deal. Is Under 21 football a big thing over in Finland or is it just because it's been hosted in Scandanavia? (if that even makes a difference?)

  20. Just a thought: Confederations cup - Free on BBC website/freeview, watched by anyone U21 game - Kicked off 5.15, on Sky. To afford Sky you probably work. If you work you don't get home until 6(?) if you work the regular hours.
