  1. Yorkie was it you, who, within days of registering, announced you had a mate called Greame who told you O'Neill had taken the job? I remember thinking "if this isn't true, this guy will be demoted to Taylor27" To be fair to you, you've redeemed yourself IMO. Sort of.

  3. So my theory still stands that we need to win all 3 of our games, one of which is against Blackburn. I have no problem with Blackburn giving you 3 points
  4. Well they also say Butt and Milner are struggling, so I'm not sure what'll happen. Carr's played in defensive midfield before as part of a 5 but probably not in a 4, I expect it'll be Emre/Dyer if Butt is out, with Milner right and Zog left. If Milner's out too then I can only assume Nobby will be pushed on and the back 4 will be switched around, there's far too many if's and but's to guess the team really.
  5. Parker failed a fitness test and didn't travel according to the Chronicle. Millions dead in betting scandal
  6. West Ham must be fancying their chances of getting 3 points on Saturday now. Bugger!
  7. Did you have to aks him what you thought? And, how did he know something baout you that you didn't? Aks? Baout?
  8. Derby are abysmal, they had 4 players at left back arguing whilst the play went on down the right. A mackem mate of mine was complaining that "it wouldn't feel right going up in second" - considering they weren't even in the playoffs at Christmas they should be grateful to be going up at all. Mind you, I asked the same guy if he thought the current squad could survive in the Prem and he said yes, comfortably. So you can imagine my delight when I asked him if he thought Nosworthy could handle the likes of Henry and Rooney, he simply said "yeah of course" Dillusional
  9. "Furthermore, if the player's new club is playing in the UEFA Cup, his former club must not have played in the UEFA Cup at any point in the current season" Rocha was cup-tied for you because Benfica went into the UEFA cup
  10. I think Spurs will finish 5th, looking at their run in I expect them to take at least 7 points
  11. Only way in now is if Pompey and Reading finish 8th and 9th, us 10th, and Pompey and Reading don't apply.
  12. Barton misses. Oh the irony
  13. 2-0 Pompey Monsoon season
  14. West Ham lead at Wigan. It never rains but it pours
  15. Benjani 1-0 Pompey. Shit.
  16. And that has what to do with Gavin Mahon?
  17. Want Spurs, Charlton, Wigan, Liverpool to win and a draw between City & Villa. Don't care about Sheff Utd/Watford
  18. I'm guessing it's the statement that will be read on Monday before the match
  19. Roeder will go: Harper Solano Taylor Bramble Carr Milner Butt Parker Emre Dyer Martins Subs: Owen Shola Pav Sibi Ramage
  20. Hopefully they've shot themselves in the foot and have to play in the Asia cup, although they say it's in late July, our Intertoto fixtures were 15th and 22nd July, not particularly late.
  21. From uefa.com "Only clubs who finish in the four positions directly below the UEFA Cup places in their league will be eligible to compete, and the final list of entrants will be confirmed by 4 June." http://www.uefa.com/competitions/intertotocup/news/kind=1/newsid=506567.html That's the only useful stuff I can find
  22. Aye that was exactly what I was told. Then I heard him on SSN prattling on about how it was up to the chairman. I think UEFA said they'd announce on June 1st who had applied - there'll probably be a ceremony on Eurosport
  23. I've been trying to find out who's applied and who hasn't for a while. A Pompey fan told me that Redknapp had no intention of applying, nor had he even heard of it. However on SSN the other day he said he would see what the chairman had to say. So no further forward. Reading almost certainly won't apply, Coppell doesn't want in but the players do. Pray these lot finish 8th. Blackburn, Everton and Spurs have confirmed they've applied, so we want Bolton, Everton and Spurs in 5th, 6th and 7th. The obvious solution would be to finish above Pompey, who have a very tough last 3 games (Arsenal and Liverpool home, Everton away) Basically they need to lose all 3, we need to win all 3 and hope other results go as you'd expect, doing the BBC predictor I came out with: http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/8885/prem22ndaprilpredictoriw7.jpg
  24. Weren't Dyer and Butt in the middle against Spurs at WHL?
