  1. He isn't the worst. But it's a damning statement when he is considered our best CM option. He should be our equivalent of Danny Guthrie, with Cabaye and Tiote starting for example. He shouldn't be a guaranteed starter. Do not disagree it is just the state the club is now in. we need to look at other positions first though.
  2. Colback is by no means the worst player we have. we need other players replacing before him. Two centre half's, a left back a right winger and at least one forward. All need to be looked at long before replacing Colback.

if this man gets the job next season we will go down no matter what league we are in.. Thanks for the effort John but it is best for all if you left .Take your pay out and take and nice long holiday....
  6. Joe Kinnear and Mick Harford you mean..
  7. Very much this.. Living here in Australia I would not mind Ange postecoglou given a go. Not a household name back home. He done a fantastic Job with Australia, Just maybe he the type we should go for someone who would want to prove himself at this level, after a bit of success in another part of the world.

  9. Haven't been since Man City in the League Cup in 2013. Won't be watching this. Got my stag do on the Saturday and birthday on the Sunday. I saw us get relegated on my birthday back in 09 and refuse to let these useless set of c***s have an impact on what will be a good weekend. I'm on my stag do next weekend too, I'll be on the train back whilst the game is on. Suspect my main concern will be whether I'm going to get a return on the £25 I've got on us to drop. Aye wish I'd stuck something on us to drop. What odds did you get? Think Hull will draw with Man U and we'll stay up by the skin of our arse. No desire to experience it either way like. I don't particularly want us to go but I don't care that much either. Only got 13/2 a fortnight ago, the odds are actually better tonight at 7/1. At $6 here, put a little bet on a few weeks ago when they were at $25.. But I cannot see Hull beating Man United...

    John Carver

Carver did not rule out the idea that Newcastle might make a complaint against Hull over the points they won in a 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace in April, after which Livermore failed his drugs test. ‘It’s something for the club to look into,’ he said. 13. No, can see no real benefit going down. It will not get rid of Ashley as he has too much money invested in the club. Plus cannot see us coming back up. I am old enough to remember season after season in the old second division, when a big signing was people like mick Martin and John Trewick from West Brom reserves. so no real wish to go back to those days.

It would not surprise me if he ended up getting the job full time and a new long term contract, such is the mess this clueless lot have got the club into.

Spot on he needs to be as far away from the club as possible.

    Steve McClaren

We don't and quite honestly not bothered if we go down, I would love to see us have the passion like Leicester etc they may be constantly up and down and a bit s*** but better than constantly aiming for mid table. The championship seems a more fun league anyway and im fed up of us just meandering along not really doing much. If we went down, shed all of our s*** and started using youth I would get 1000% more enjoyment than the last few years. Really can't disagree with that, if we've been told we're actively never going to try to win anything again, that what's left? Being a yo-yo club, like the makems might actually be somewhat appealing, at least once in a while you get to hammer everyone for a season Except it won't be like that this time around. This. The only reason the Championship was fun was because we p*ssed it, not a chance people will enjoy it whilst we are in mid table or fighting relegation. There is no Andy Carroll, and there is no Tim Krul this time around to save us. Non of our current squad has loyalty like Nolan and Barton who stayed and fought did. If we are stuck in the Championship for a few years all Ashley will do is cut costs more, any acedemy players who look half decent will be sold at the earliest opportunity instead of retaining them for a promotion fight. Everything will be the same as now, except instead of aiming to survivor in the Premiership we will be aiming to survive in the Championship. Nothing will be won by us being relegated. Not to mention no-one will give Ashley the fee he's looking for to buy the club whilst we're a shitty Championship club. Yeah, that as well. People using Leeds as an example of what to aspire too, come on man. This is the club who took a further step down, can't get a manager who is good enough, immediately sells any player they have instead of pushing on. Their on fans hoping Red Bull take over them and destroy their heritage just so they can get back into the Premiership. We got our get out of jail card the last time we went down, thats not happening this time, this time we will be a forgotten club like Ipswich, Nottingham Forest, etc. All of you lot will be saying that you won't go to a match until we show some sort of ambition to get promoted, except this time you won't have links to watch them match online or in the pub. This time it's go to the match or watch a few minutes of highlights in the middle of the night. How exactly is that going to help any boycott to get Ashley out? People saying relegation will be the best thing that can happen to us are cutting of their own nose, legs, and arms just to spite, and are deluded to think that it's all going to end well. This time if we fall in the s*** we aren't going to come up smelling like roses. I'm not happy about McClaren probably being our manager, however if he does come in this week and we do get the managers bounce and stay up then we have a platform o build next season. At least next season we can ramp up the Ashley out campaign, McClaren should be good enough to keep us up next season and he would be giving us fans time to get our club back. I'm not happy about McClaren at all but we're in such a desperate position now. I'm sure he'd get 1 win from our last 3 games to see us safe and generally give us a no thrills safe season next term. That may just tide us over until Ashley sells up at which point we can replace him with a good manager. This is about our only hope  :(

Maybe it is like courses here in Australia, as long as you pay your money you will pass no matter how bad you are ......

    Graham Carr

Does anyone else think , this man has got off lightly up till now. He must carry his share of the blame for his role. Lots of players not up to starch, plus he was part of the team that decided Carver should be given a chance as manager....

    John Carver

To put this in perspective, he put Taylor (a fullback) in central midfield and Anita (a central midfielder) at fullback. The man is an absolute lemon. If we actually by some miracle get out of trouble, it'll be because the decisions will be taken away from him. Sissoko and De Jong fit, means the central midfield picks itself, then after Leicester, Cisse is back as well. Those players being back could save us, because Carver certainly won't do it with tactics. I really just can't stand this whole thing. Not only are we a dried up shell as a club and not only do we have incompetents appointed as managers, we also seem to have terrible people appointed. The last few managers we've had are literally the kind of person who would blame their dog for a defeat, before they'd ever take responsibility. That's why they never improve and they're awful to listen to. Supporting this club right now is a total drain and bad for the heart rate. Spot on

For me its a toss up between him and Richard Dinnis who is the worst manager.. Both completely out of their depth..

May not make a big difference over a long period of time, but look back at the history of this club, look at the relegations, just about everyone them the crowd turned on the club.
  22. samag

    AshleyOut.com

The crowd turned massively against Cardiff last season and we managed to win, we're s**** and it has nothing to do with the crowd. we will see next week when one set of fans get behind a team, and how it lifts them. Think back last season to palace how their crowd backed the team. I am old enough to remember a few relegations. it is always the same the crowd turn against the team, the team shows no fight , we end up going down.

    John Carver

Agreed, nobody better than Carver wanted the job yet the mackems found one after us. They found a short term answer , just like they did with the past two managers. Both clubs will be looking for someone new in the summer . Will be interesting if either can find someone better.

What difference will getting behind the team make? [/quote It will help a lot more than any fruitless protest... crowd turn on the team players hide. It nothing new has happened in the last relegation , and the relegation before that, and the relegation before that.
