Just sad its come to this, both sides must take their share of the blame for the embarrassing headlines for the club. Now it has happened best for all if Barton moves as soon as possible . Then the club can some how move on .

then awards himself a new 5 year contract
-
Did Carrol not put in a transfer request when the club would not give him another improved contract ?

We may be back in for Ireland now. I laughed at the time, but was told that Pardew did not rate Nolan , and planned to replace Nolan with Ireland in the summ

tell them they can have Shola for 30 million instead

I hope there are no protests during the game. Give the team support during the 90 minutes. (As promotion is still the most important thing for this season) I think the time to protest is after the game, a mass protest inside the ground, As when Sky and BBC are doing the summaries of the game with protest going on at the same time that would gain more publicity than protests though the game

that could be the main problem after paying 80 million fot the club, then having to spend anthor 20 million to keep the club running, then having to find money for new players.

If we had been taken over by a foreign investor, it more than likely that they would have done the same thing. It is a lot more common around the world than many people think. It is an easy way to raise money
-
Ashley will only leave when someone pays him the money he wants,to leave. boycoptting protests, he could not care less about them. They will not work, they never have. The only hope is someone will come along and meet Ashley's asking price.
-
we are a long way from that
-
correct, he will just sell more players in January and not replace them. Ashley will only leave the club when he can sell the club.
-
But how will we compete in the top league if we are on a tight budget. Everton seem to be able to Compete on a tight Budget

This worries me. How will he fund the day to day running of the club, and how much would we have to invest in new players? I couldnt give a flying how much money he has to spend as long as he runs the club correctly, Ashley has a lot more money than were lead to believe Moat has, but how much has he spent on transfers ? Get a grip we need shot of Ashley asap, the guy is a lying bafoon of the highest possible order. When Sir John sold to Ashley we jumped out of the frying pan into the fire. We all hated Fat Fred. I want rid of Ashley as much as anyone, but I don't want the club dragged into further s****. What would Moat do differently that would drag us into further s****? If he hasn't got his own money to invest, it's not like Ashley is investing any of his, however much he's worth. only spent around a 250 millon on the club

correct 16 points from 7 games. third on the table.most people would have been more than happy with that at the start of the season

from the Birminham Mail Peter Lovenkrands was today set to rejoin Newcastle United after they offered him a contract to head off Blues interest. The Danish winger trained with Blues at Wast Hills yesterday with a view to a deal, similar to the Stephen Carr scenario last season. However, Alex McLeish couldn’t provide any guarantees to his former Rangers attacker, who became a free agent after his release by Newcastle following their Premier League relegation. But Lovenkrands has now been given the security he craved by Newcastle and McLeish wasn’t in a position to match their offer. Lovenkrands wasn’t prepared to wait another five weeks or so for Carson Yeung and his group to take charge, when McLeish would have had the resources - and been able to judge form and fitness - to act decisively. He said: “Peter was a player we got to look at but because of our financial situation I couldn’t offer him a contract, we’re spent in terms of the budget. “But it was my intention to let him train with us for a few weeks. I think he’s a bit short of fitness. Then we would have seen what had happened. “Once the takeover had gone through successfully - or even if it hadn’t - Peter might have showed up so well that I could have persuaded the club to have taken him on. But he had an offer from Newcastle on the table.”

We will not be sign any new players, the club has to reduce its wage bill a lot more, so until we can offload a few more of the high wage earners, there is no scope to bring in new players.

SOUTH AFRICAN BILLIONAIRE IS TALK OF TOON Sunday August 2,2009 By John Richardson A South African diamond billionaire introduced by former Newcastle United chairman Sir John Hall could be set to lift the Toon’s gloom. Hall, who along with Freddy Shepherd sold out to Mike Ashley two years ago, is frustrated by the club’s relegation from the Premier League and Ashley’s failure to off-load it. Now Hall has utilised his own business contacts and Sunday Express Sport can reveal that he has unearthed a wealthy South African, who owns diamond mines. It’s believed the diamond prospector has expressed an interest in meeting Ashley’s asking price – and that substantial cash would be available for new players. So far every prospective take-over has failed as Ashley digs his heels in over the £100million asking price. He also wants some compensation in order to write off a £100m interest-free loan. Ashley has clawed back £9m from the sale of Oba Martins to Wolfsburg and is set to collect another £2m from Aston Villa for Habib Beye.
