Graduated to the scoreboard??? surely it was the other way round, start in the scoreboard and then move onto the more "rowdy" corner!! lol

I used to love the little supporters shop at the Haymarket, used to always manage to get programmes from all sorts of games, home or away. Used to always seem to come out with a new pin badge as well. And booked up for the away games with Armstrong Galley, loved them buses, used to always remember the buzz while you were standing outside Bainbridges wondering if one of the buses that day would be the Clipper, what is it that is exciting for going an away match in a double decker!lol Also remember the woolly hats which were half NUFC/Rangers or NUFC/Celtic, also had the RANGERS/CELTIC chants that would start at the match, and also remember the NUFC beanie hat essential match day attire in the early 90's.

I don't think Ashley will sell Taylor but Colo is on big wages so he would probably jump at the chance of to get him out. i still think he'll sell anyone who he gets a decent price for.
-
Ashley will probably sell Taylor or Colo for £7-10m, but Kilgallon for £2m and pocket the rest or do a repeat of last season inspired transfer dealings, sell tayls or colo for £7-10m but will be on tick but the initial £2m we get will be paid upfront to Sheff U for Kilgallon.

is anyone from here going to the Roadshow at the Strawberry 2moro night?
-
are you going for the treble or just the double though?
-
Thinking of just lumping last nights winnings on a Man U/ real madrid double, just waiting to see what team fergie puts out tho as they've already qualified. Might add Bayern in for the treble.

Don't think it was anything that drastic, just seemed to walk in unchecked with some lads from Bilbao who we'd been drinking with during the day
-
Bilbao away was one of the best away trips i've ever been on, brilliant place and the Bilbao fans were amazing, can't remember much about the match due to far too much drink, never paid for any as they were buying. i've still got the match ticket, it was for the away end but me and my mate somehow watched it from the Bilbao end at the other end of the ground!! no idea how i got in the ground....
-
i played in one of them for my school and scored the winner with a diving header, i still say it was the best goal scored at SJP that season!!
-
pre season friendly with Sheff Utd wasn't it?
-
get in Leeds, i was due a win!! nice little acca up, leeds, Charlton, Colchester, norwich, rotherham and arsenal

its a 6 week campaign, they are about 12 days into it, they've launched it, held a roadshow in Gosforth last week, holding another on at the Strawberry in town this week, going to Swalwell next week, there not exactly twiddling there thumbs. i also think they are planning something for Saturday as its the first home game since the launch.

yes and we should've dispatched Scunthorpe comfortably as well......... If you look at the teamsheet from the Scunthorpe game you'll perhaps see the difference. well i know that Geremi was playing so suppose if he's kept out the team then we may have a better chance.

yes they've made some inspired loan signings, unlike us who've went for older players who aren't good enough to play in the PL, ie Harewood and the georgian, Watford have got top youngsters from Man U and Arsenal, Lansbury and cleverley doing most of the forward play and cathcart at the back. 4th loanee Helguson has notched a few goals although i don't rate him despite been decent at this level. While people have been saying we should kick on, the 2 home games against Watford and Swansea will be tough as will the 2 away games v barnsley and Coventry. barnsley have improved under Robins while Coventry are a funny team.

can anyone remember the 5 or 6 a side football tournament that we played in, used to be shown on Sportnight, might have even been live. I remember stopping up to watch it with my dad, bearing in mind back then there wasn't that much football on TV it was quite a novelty, seem to remember us not being very good though!
-
Nice to see us win in the North West for a change, we have a shocking record when we cross the pennines, i think off the top of my head apart from a couple of draws our last win in the NW was Bolton away in Big Sams first game in charge!
-
If Carroll had been ill all day and was still ill when the match started, why the hell was he playing/starting? if we were down to the bare bones i could understand it but we had fully fit Ranger, Harewood, lovenkrands and the even new lad pancrate all able to play. Even stranger that until Raylor pulled out he was going to be a lone striker.

normal 1st goal scorer markets don't include OG's so if you back no goalscorer and and OG is scored you'll win if it ends 1-0.
-
Never ever back 0-0, back no goalscorer instead, then even if its 1-0 but scored by an OG you still win!!!
-
aye poor lad, got kicked to death, he never saw the great 90s team. used to stand right behind him in the scoreboard. CP you must have stood beside me as well, i hope you aren't the bloke who pissed in my mates pocket!! lol
-
Anyone remember Big Darren, he used to always be standing on the crash barrier in the scoreboard conducting the singing. Think he got murdered at an away game in London(chelsea or QPR) when he had a run in with some Wigan Rugby league fans.
-
Best thing about the carlisle game was Kevin Carr's penalty save, then he saves the rebound and 3 passes later we are scoring at the gallowgate end!! Jumping around like a loon celebrating the penalty save and still celebrating as Beardsley(or KK) scores at the other end, mental and never seen that happen since.

Which interviews are you referring to? His interviews have been as clear as mud and give absolutely nothing away at a time when the fans and perhaps most importantly the players want some idea of the club's direction. Communication is crucial in the club's current state. We've been in limbo for 18 months, the club was recently taken off the market with no real explanation. The stadium name has been changed with the excuse of 'showcasing the brand' while keeping the name, despite tagging 'stadium' the end. No explanation for this, nor any explanation as to where the increased revenue would go if we found a sponsor. We lost players in the summer who grew disillusioned and it's his job to come out and reassure people that short- and long-term plans are in place. At worst his interviews are outright lying and at best they fail to inform anyone of anything. For example he said he'd back Hughton if he wanted a player for a million and in the same breath said he'd prefer if Hughton came to him for loan signings, while saying he is looking at the list Hughton has given him already. It's unconvincing bollocks and if it carries on there'll be more players looking for the exits. Maybe the Fabrice Pancrate signing is an example of Ashley's financial backing of Hughton. I doubt many other 2nd tier clubs could afford him. No i don't think its an example of Ashley's financial backing of Hughton, picked up a free agent on a short term deal. I think most clubs in the 2nd tier could afford him, after all he was unemployed and we are 2 third of the way into the season, any club wanting him would be in the driving seat when it came down to the negotiating stage.
