  2. Given Beye Faye Taylor Enrique Milner Geremi Barton N'Zogbia Owen Martins Not happy with Central midfield though!
  3. Newcastle are planning a £10m summer move for Middlesbrough midfielder Stewart Downing. (News of the World) I'd be really disappointed to lose the Zog and especially if the above happens as a result.
  4. He is an absolute headcase, a psychopath and it's no exaggeration. He sounds composed when he speaks but something snaps. Get rid!
  5. From.com and hard to disagree: Villafied Aston Villa 4 Newcastle 1 An absolutely shambolic second half showing at Villa Park left no-one in any doubt that the remainder of this season is now a fight against relegation. Michael Owen's fourth minute opener should have provided a platform for United to build on against a very ordinary Villa side who struggled to threaten us in a surprisingly comfortable first 45 minutes. Two quick goals after the break sent us into an alarming downward spiral with the third goal taking us to a new level of defensive incompetence. And as for Stephen Carr's handball for the fourth.... Words aren't adequate to describe the stupidity of this rotten right back who is twice as bad at left back. Joey Barton and Alan Smith are two players not good enough to be anywhere near a first team place, based on performance, but this threadbare squad is struggling to suggest any replacements. On today's second half showing, you'd even welcome back Geremi. That's how desperate it was. If Mark Viduka was fit enough to be on the bench, then why he didn't replace Smith is an absolute mystery. He certainly couldn't have been any worse at holding up the ball. All we can say is we hope you took advantage of Paddy Power's 12/1 on Owen to score first. It was the only possible consolation from this nightmare.

http://www.alansmith17.com/ From all of his fans out there. Why "revolution"?
  7. Cryptic from KK: Keegan Confirms Pearson Departure KEVIN Keegan has confirmed that Nigel Pearson has parted company with Newcastle United. The 44-year-old told the Magpie boss on Thursday of his decision to leave the club having joined as Glenn Roeder's assistant in October, 2006. And, speaking after Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Aston Villa, Keegan explained: "Nigel came to me the day before yesterday and said I want to go. "I asked him for a reason but never really got one. "I said 'is it me?' and he said definitely not. I asked if it was someone else around the club and he said no. "But he was very honest and said 'I want to go'. "I asked him to think about it but he came in yesterday and said he had made his mind up, he'd talked about it with friends and wanted to go. "I don't think there was any doubt we were working closely but you have to respect his decision. "I like Nigel Pearson very much, he's a good coach and I wish him good luck in the future."
  8. Only 4 points off a play-off place. Good work Glenda.

At least Dalglish Jr. scored - saw him score away to Tranmere in the Cup years ago. Smith needs a spell in the stiffs.

Not one of Sam's best deals. I really don't see what Smith offers us apart from the odd suspension when he doesn't play.

The worst Toon forward I ever saw was Rob McDonald followed by Frank Pingel - God they were really bad. But Smith has to be up there with the worst of them considering his fee and total ineffectiveness.

T Two blond fairies - one with an alice band, the other with a semi mohawk but you're right Andreas Andersson was a bigger threat, no question.
  13. agreed, Taylor is absolute dogshite, if he was from 'down south' his windows would have been pelted several times by now I thought he was from down south? It's hard to single out one when the majority of them - I only exclude Milner - were truly shocking.
  14. Keegan on the BBC: "We played very well early on for a team that has not been having results go for us and we built the platform for a victory by taking the lead. "Sadly half the second half came and I'm baffled by what happened because it was the same players but we never really got going after the break. "Their first goal was a hammer blow and our goalkeeper got injured at the same time and when they got their second we had a mountain to climb."
  15. Good lad, at least had a go in that second half when all of his teammates' heads had dropped.
  16. My Hammer supporting mate said he had a dream we'd get relegated 3rd bottom ahead of Fulham and Derby. This was just after Keegan arrived and I laughed at him. Now I think I'll avoid him.
  17. I thought it was "polish"? Can motivate one either I suppose!
  18. If he's all that good in the market then why did he just waste a few weeks last month not buying anyone? Rhetorical question? You know what he said and the sort of players he brought in last time. Hopefully he'll have a massive budget and he'll need it too.
  19. Not if we're in the Championship. Fair point although he'd have been sacked by then.
  20. He'll do well in the transfer market - I'm sure of that although I really don't know how he can do much with the mess he's been left by SA.
  21. Not good enough although I doubt we'll see him anymore after the Summer. Though "Big Earl" in Cell Block B might.
  22. How can you say SA would have turned us around when he is the main reason we are in this position. Tactics of "hoof it to Big Kev" might excite you but.....howay!!! That is a succession of monumental f*** ups over ten years - and you know it. Souness didn't arrive 10 years ago.
