Would be 1000X better than Pardew.
-
We all know it's going to be Pardew. Fuck.
-
This is really true. If you sack a class act and a good manager to bring in some fucking jerkoff like Pardew, Curbishley, or worse (JFK, Phil Brown), the whole thing is going to collapse so quickly it will be amazing. But now Fat Cunt has to put some money where his fat gob is. No manager worth anything will follow Hughton without some kind of decent contract and decent guarantee of money invested. I know we're going to fuck this up big style. Just scared to see how bad it gets.

Which manager is going to want to come in to this situation, following an extremely decent and well-liked manager at a club which doesn't want to pay its manager or players decent wages and is run by a fat tight cunt?
-
From Jonas Gutierrez on his Twitter: "Gracias chris hughton por creer en nosotros cuando nadie confiaba en nosotros." (Thanks for believing in us when no one else did, Chris Hughton.)
-
It is as if we are determined to confirm every media stereotype about our club. There's no point in trying to defend the club. We are completely batshit crazy and run by a moody child.

Extraordinarily classy guy and a credit to the profession. I enjoyed having him in charge of the club; he must have been going through hell behind the scenes dealing with the chuckleheads that run our club, and yet he stayed completely above the fray. His class probably cost him in the end. Wish him nothing but the best.

Only way to make it worse, bring back: http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/45057000/jpg/_45057360_kinnear_pa416.jpg

The only way to justify this would be with some kind of blockbuster appointment. http://www.footballshirts.biz/wp-content/Images/Alan-Pardew-001.jpg

It is so, so hard to support such a self-destructive club run by complete idiots.

Ashley better have one fuck of a better name in the hat than Alan fucking Par fucking dew.

Newcastle United Football Club have today parted company with manager Chris Hughton. Goalkeeping coach Paul Barron also leaves the club today. The board would like to place on record their thanks to Chris for his considerable efforts during the club's transition from Championship to Premier League football. Chris has shown exceptional character and commitment since being appointed manager in October 2009. The club wishes him well for the future. Regrettably the board now feels that an individual with more managerial experience is needed to take the club forward. The task of appointing a new manager now begins. An announcement will be made shortly regarding transitional arrangements pending the appointment of a successor.

Despite all the previous rumours, this is the first time I've actually felt like Hughton's sacking could happen. Hope it doesn't, but it feels a bit ominous.

Jonas and Enrique both have been well below their best. In Enrique's case, he's been OK, but Jonas has been really poor for me. Still better than Nolan/Smith today, but that's not hard to do.
-
Bolton - Elmander and Davies, really - totally intimidated Williamson and Colo. Don't forget that Williamson had a headbutt on Elmander in the 1st half unseen by Webb but which will likely be reviewed by the FA. If he's suspended too, we are well and truly fucked.
-
Carroll seems OK although it was scary-looking.
-
There will be at least two more goals scored...this is wide open and defensively suspect all around.
-
Great assist from Stuart Holden there, too - LOL
-
CARROLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Elmander. Fuck. They are tearing us apart.
-
Bolton's urgency in attack is catching our defenders out. All of them are exceptionally nonchalant today and it's leading to far more pressure than we need - and they're seemingly intimidated by the physicality of Davies, particularly (Colo's backing off noticeably).
-
I watched it, and we were the better side up until the penalty. They barely had a touch. Think you're letting hindsight cloud your opinion there tbh. I went back and watched the first part of the match and we had a nice spell for a few minutes, but it never led to much. Basically from the 10th minute on, we've been very much on the back foot. By the time the match got to the 30 minute mark, the possession to that point was listed as 65/35 Bolton.

I'm watching the match and I don't know where the idea that we started well has come from. We certainly didn't. Nolan's handball wasn't blatant, but I'd have wanted it given if it was against us - he certainly used his forearm to move the ball away from Lee's head. It was stupid and pointless, but for me, a penalty. The second goal was VERY marginally offside, maybe by the length of Lee's foot, but the totally ridiculous defending was to blame. Absolutely stupid. Dawdled on the ball for ages, Colo just standing there, Simpson hoofing it off the Bolton man into the direction of Lee. Embarrassing. We had a couple of decent chances throughout the half - Carroll's chance from a nice bit of Guthrie play was good, as was Carroll's opportunity off an Alan Smith flick-on (and Guthrie had a half-chance, too), but we look way off the pace set by Bolton. They are working so hard, and we're not responding. Jonas has been notably poor, Nolan not effective, even Enrique hasn't been as good as normal. And Williamson's appeared to headbutt Elmander early in the half - the referee didn't see it, but video replays looked awfully bad. Wouldn't be surprised if the FA get involved. Don't see much of a way back. We are deservedly 2 goals down. Very frustrating to watch.
