Not seen us play worse than that since the very early days under EH. A defeat I can handle just fine, not playing well happens, but showing a lack of desire and in a couple of cases just seemingly not caring at all...that's alarming like. Once you get a couple not playing for the gaffer, that's a slippery slope. Can't understand why he won't start Tonali either, maddening. Apart from the results in general, just about everything else has felt off since the summer. It's a kind of joyless vibe.

Weird one. High quality individuals everywhere. Not sure Mbappe was the right choice for them. I think he's low on the tactical intelligence scale. Can't and doesn't want to think about anything, just run fast and dribble. Often picks the wrong option or pass. Think they're a bit wonky defensively as well.

Mbappe is such a strange player. So much raw speed and dribbling ability, needs a free role. If you put him in a position where he needs to think, he almost always fucks it up or picks the wrong option or just runs into players.

Totally agree, there's a player in there that the beginning of this season is not showcasing, hard to blame him for being off after the window. He's not and never has been a 70m player, but I think we'll be back for him at a more reasonable fee, we usually go back for players when we don't initially get them.
