  1. Riviere was Romario compared to Rob Macdonald
  2. Grey French bulldog. Very cute like.
  3. At Bamburgh Castle the day with his lass and dog
  4. For US-based Mags, just in case you're not aware, this is now on US Prime as well, first two episodes are up. Hoying it on now Edit - fuck. They're not. They show like they are but when you click on them it says "This video is currently unavailable". False alarm. Sorry
  5. Coming back for a visit in October, never heard of that place, sounds class and will definitely visit for a coffee and a sandwich
  6. "Joey, the common denominator of controversy on this table is you" I love this era and all the players and staff, never want it to end
  7. Got to love a new player who (reportedly anyway) fights to sign for us. What a squad we're building. Youth, unity, quality plus top class coaching and spirit. Ironically, that's some shit Hall's current club lack.
  8. Can recall him being just about the only Chelsea player in the home game last season to produce anything remotely like a reasonable performance but can't say I recall him at all otherwise during the season. Plenty lowie as well though maybe the going rate for a promising youngun. Canny if it happens
  9. Aye, this early and with KdB out and us playing like we did at the weekend, I doubt we'll ever have a better shot at sneaking something. A draw here really sets us up confidence-wise. Then do Liverpool. Oh man, if there was ever a team we owed a beating to, please let it be them.
  10. Was thinking randomly this morning about his goal, it was so similar to the one John Aldridge scored for Liverpool in the 88 cup semi against Forest. Love goals like this, nice CM and winger combination play, beautiful cross and someone barreling in to bury the chance. Bloke has ice in his veins.
  11. He'd have played every week at Liverpool, who knows at Chelsea, they're a basket case, couldn't even guess what they're trying to do anymore. I'm not even convinced a lot of these players care about playing every week that much anymore, one big contract at a club like Chelsea and they're set for life. You'd think playing and developing would matter to them but it seems not, or else why go there except for money and the London life?
  12. This window has had a bit of everything and still a couple of weeks of the madness left
  13. Aye, hard to believe we'll see another line that high again
  14. I like him front right. That's probably how I looked watching this, just a dumbstruck and drunk clock for most of the game
  15. I have to say, while watching the latest Overlap, so little chatter about us and how the top 6 will shape up this year. Neville and Carra have been complimentary about us at times in the past but when it comes down to it, neither wanted to say we're top 4-6 material again. I don't know what it will take for them to take their tongues out of Chelsea's (and others) arses and give us some respect like. In some ways, I still prefer to be under the radar but the lack of overall respect for our brilliant ENGLISH coach, sheesh, the bloke should be regarded as a national treasure. I'm rambling but you maybe get my point
  16. Good summary. Amazing to me that the big clubs in Spain weren't on him more, despite 21/22 not being his best statistically. Can't believe the talent and ability he has, huge asset this season and with a proper pre-season and no lingering injuries, his potential is frightening.
  17. Today terrified me in some respects. I got very wound up prior, sick to the gills of hearing how great things are at Villa and how everything Emery does is just perfect all the fucking time. I so badly wanted this result for this man, he will have been sick at what happened in April and more than anything, I just wanted him to put it right. Knew he would. Genius.
  18. Worried about @HaydnNUFC, lad will be bladdered by now
  19. I hate discussing player values, feels proper reductive. But this lad is conservatively worth twice what we paid and is up there with Osimhen, even though they're not quite the same type of striker.
  20. He's been totally shit and fat for about 2 and a half seasons. I was baffled by the admiration for his signing.
  21. And he has a lovely lass who enjoys trundling around Whitley Bay and being nice to people. Top stuff.
  22. God, just so happy for this lad. Seems like such a nice fella and an instantly memorable debut off the bench with all his attributes on show.
  23. Calm would be an understatement. Instant fit, perfect synergy with the rest of our midfield. To the big 6 berks chasing the likes of Caicedo for twice the money, you missed out big time lads.
