  1. Waterman out, but not replaced by Tim Krul..
  2. Krul not playing for Holland. Pity.. Seeing Drenthe play I wonder if he might be an option for Newcastle as left back. Has had a very decent first full season at Feyenoord, full of energy and a typical left wing back for a 3-5-2. He reminds me of Bernard (the first time he was with us).. Edit: penalty for Holland scored: 1-0 vs Portugal. Goalscorer: Ryan Babel.
  3. Most of the bookings so far have been very soft. Difficult to play naturally with such a petty ref..
  4. Belgium vs Israel is currently on. Belgium playing well so far. Their striker Mirallas showing glimpses of promise again.
  5. You must have seen a different match to me! Got the tactics right? High tempo? I nearly fell asleep, that's how boring it was, and the Czechs got the best chances overall..
  6. Unbelievable

    David Rozehnal

That little article is from yesterday. Surely if PSG announced the transfer somebody in the UK press would have picked it up? Oh, and I believe RMC is a sports radio program in France?
  7. The defence looked shaky all match long I thought.. Edit: Italy lose 1:0 to Serbia..
  8. ... you should have a bigger sig and post even more often tbh. Edit: , Dave? Oh sod off!! Cheers Dave! It wasn´t bigger than some I´ve seen tbh.. Maybe yous should treat yourself to a decent sized monitor..
  9. Never a foul. Could have been a good break..
  10. Don´t get me started on English players being overpriced or we´ll be here tomorrow. I do agree with your comment about good goalkeeping, it was an excellent save.
  11. What is gullit saying? His co pundit (Jan Mulder, a former Dutch international) was commenting on the lack of technical ability with most English players, stating that they should be learned that they can actually move certain parts of their bodies, such as ankles and knees to control a ball rather than having it jump up against their body and reacting to how the ball bounces off it.. Gullit was nodding in agreement and mentioned that he also finds that the actual England team (as opposed to under 21s) is low on technical ability. To be fair, it was mainly Jan Mulder, who is normally perceived as a fan of English style football, who was doing the complaining.. Good free kick that btw..
  12. Some really bad England bashing going on on Dutch telly by Gullit amongst others.. No surprise there..
  13. Is it only a sending off if you break somebody´s limp nowadays..?
  14. Surprised nobody commented on that Ashley Young foul that effectively took out the Czech striker. Could have been a sending off..
  15. This has been mentioned in another topic today as well, but alas, if I was him I would definitely prefer to play at the highest level in Holland and challenging for European football rather than play for Hartlepool in the lower regions of league 1. He will train at a much higher level too. Roda have had some really good goalkeepers in the past, including Hesp (who later played at Barcelona) and Zeljko Kalac (nowadays at AC Milan), so I presume they do ok in the goalkeeping coaching department.. Everything for me depends on whether he/we will be given assurances to get a game in..
  16. Reports in Holland are surfacing that Dutch midtable club Roda JC are interested in taking him on a season's loan to have him compete with their first goalkeeper for first team football. I think it would be a good level for him to play on for a season but would only accept if he is guaranteed a shot at first team football. 17. 18 goals from midfield this season. Great at free kicks too, something we have been missing this season..
  18. Youtube has a short and not so good quality fan video of the clapping leading up to 19:04 and then the hysteria as they score. Search for: "sound of silence an end!" Mods, please remove if this is not allowed.
  19. What do you mean by his first season form, mate? He played well in the first 4 games under Robson then was out a lot through injury and of course, Souness was now the 'manager.' Perhaps like some other players he could see Souness for the idiot that he is, especially after Ferguson. Unhappy players don't generally play to the best of their ability. Interesting that since he's returned he's looked a decent player again. You won't like it as it doesn't fit your view, but replace Robson with Sounness, Sounness with Roeder and Butt with Parker and the argument contains some truths and half truths but overall is, well, still as incoherent as it currently is..
