Sorry but a lot of this is horseshit. The club are already dampening expectations through the press of new signings so what exactly is to be gained by keeping SMC on with what will likely be more or less the same squad?
Klopp has shown how much a good manager can achieve with a group of players who are playing like s*** all over the pitch.
If you asked me right now whether I'd take 3-4 speculative signings from abroad (which is probably the best we'll get) or one top quality, proven manager then I'd be going for the manager.
Absolutely. No chance whatsoever of Ashley/Charnley sanctioning it or anyone decent wanting to work in this system we've got, but I'd absolutely take an inspired managerial upgrade over any squad tinkering we are likely to do. Either way, I can't see them radically changing their approach as that would be an admission of their own failings. They've made their bed and now we will all have to lie in it.
