Absolutely. And they’ve never presented themselves as anything else afaik. From day one Stavely called them patient investors. I personally hate the idea that our owners should just pay in whatever it takes to get us to the top asap. Just build us organically like any competent owner could do and ensure any success we achieve is actually sustainable for the long term future.
-
For breaking them in the past and present and continuing to break them going forward, by having their Etihad deal waved through. It’s preposterous.
-
So what’s stopping us and other clubs from mounting a legal challenge of our own. Surely City “admitting the rules are valid and binding” while at the same time settling on a long term deal that proves the exact opposite is not legally binding or setting some legal precendent for others? Rotten to the core this.

What even is this? Absolutely ridiculous that one club can settle while profiting past, present and future from deals they “admit” cannot apply to other clubs.

I’m afraid I won’t be able to make it over this time @LFEE, @Yorkie and everyone else. Bit of a hectic schedule between now and the end of October sadly. I will try to get tickets and make it over for the PSV CL game early next year. -
Wishful thinking reigning supreme. They replaced their manager after finishing 9 points behind PL champions City, hardly invested in their squad that summer and he made them champions at a canter by being 10 points clear of second. This summer they've only gone and spent over 400m in new players, including signing our world class striker, and they've started the season winning all three of their opening PL games (two against CL rivals) whilst integrating new players, yet you guarantee that things will sour for him this season? Football is a funny game and anything can happen, but surely you don't actually believe such a downfall is likely?

Continue to do what? If I’m not mistaken he’s made them PL champions when nobody expected it..?

Buonanotte and Enciso deals are 'baffling'published at 20:54 British Summer Time 20:54 BST Rory Smith Football correspondent for Observer on BBC Radio 5 Live The two most baffling deals of this window are Facundo Buonanotte and Julio Enciso both belong to Chelsea's parent company. The way PSR works - all the profit from the sale is booked this year. The fee you pay is spread out over five years. The book profit is the difference in that figure.

That's what I was thinking. I'm not convinced by Wissa for 55m, so I wouldn't consider it the end of the world, but it would sure put pressure on Wolvemade to hit the ground running, wouldn't it?
-
Assuming Wissa signs and Isak and Osula depart, a 5.5/10 measured against my expectations beforehand, but a 7/10 considering the difficult circumstances of our star player dropping us in the shit and some of our first choice replacements choosing to chase the money elsewhere. We had a lot to do, especially due to Isak agitating. I’m not really blown away by who we’ve managed to get in and the fees involved. They’re decent players and they’ve made our squad stronger in a busy season, but I think our first team is weaker now sadly. Hopefully Woltemade can hit the ground running and become a world class forward of his own.

Wtf, how much!? -
How much? I understand our hands may have been tight, but I find it difficult to get onboard with letting Isak go for significantly less than it cost us to get Woltemade and Wissa in, taking into account the 10% of Isak’s fee going to his former club. Primarily the club have royally balsed up the Wilson situation, who should have been replaced more than a year ago.

Exactly. And circumstances change. It’s about time football players start to understand the value of their contracts. It gives them great riches, but comes with obligations.
