Or this… not just because he’s found out to be a snivelling cunt, but also for business reasons. It makes total sense with the PSR restrictions imposed upon us to postpone new contract talks until we’re in the final two years of the contract. Why go and pay someone a couple of mill extra when that money could be put towards getting another first team player in, increasing our chances of CL qualification and thereby our ability to keep growing and increase his and other key players’ wages throughout. Surely this would have been discussed and explained to him as well. Clearly the cunt decided he’d had enough of the project and wanted his pay rise here and now and was even prepared to burn all bridges to try and get it. I wonder how he will reflect on this later on life. Every chance he will look back at his time here as the best of his career in terms of being idolised and being part of a united team of players with camaraderie and fight, until he let his agent’s and his own greed get the better of himself.

There is also the small matter of the promise you signed as per your contract to serve Newcastle United Football Club for the duration of your contract, and the fact said club have made known for a long time their position is that you are not for sale this summer. Now get your sorry fucking ass back into training and do what you’re getting paid extremely well to do you fucking prick.

I’d sooner sign Vardy on a free in the Wilson role and to keep us ticking over than spend over half an Isak on that Chelsea castoff donkey. Even moreso if we somehow see Jackson as the long term Isak replacement.
-
If Vlahovic is an option I’m all in on him. If Eddie can get him playing like he did at Fiorentina we’d have ourselves a proper Isak replacement for a relative pitance.
-
Sorry, I’m sure we’ve worked on other plans, but by now we should have had a Wilson replacement ready to go, especially with the Isak situation being known for at least a month. Not many players around who can genuinely improve us or replace Isak’s role, but to not even have a backup striker in with the season already started…? I’m really disappointed and worried that we’ll now splunk a huge amount on someone we don’t really want and that will set us back mid to long term.
-
Neither really. What a mess the club has got itself into. I mean to not be able to find an Isak replacement without much preparation time is forgivable in a sense, but to not find a Wilson replacement is pretty much pure negligence. I understand the Wissa situation is not in our control, but surely there should have been a plan B or C started by now

Howay the lads! My default river has dried up ffs

Nowhere near as good as Isak, sadly
-
For Jacob fucking Ramsey though..?
-
Not sure about this one. Seems a lot of money for a run of the mill, injury prone squad player from a side we are supposedly competing with.
-
So we keep the real deal

Whenever Isak leaves is fine by me.
-
Shame. Maybe next year

No sales pitch in the world is going to make up the deficit of double the wages the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool can offer, sadly.

That's it. I think this is the realistic view of the vast majority of fans who appreciate that the owners, the manager, the players and the people employed by the club all work hard together to move the club in the right direction, and with incredible results over the last three and a half seasons all things considered despite the PL and other clubs attempting to frustrate our progress whichever way they can. Put your trust in these people and get behind them instead of dragging your heels shouting and screaming every time something doesn't quite go to plan. They've earned it.

Hard disagree. We’re bringing in an improvement on a squad player. Considering the makeup of our squad, the PSR room we have/had this summer and the fact we have CL as an additional reason for players possibly being interested in joining our project, it was the right decision to aim high and build for the future as well, by targeting the best young, up and coming players we could hope to attract. We’ve been done dirty on a few deals, but next time I’d do exactly the same. In fact, I hope we step up our recruitment in the age category below, aiming to find and recruit the best under 21’s in the below 20m bracket, like we went for Joao Pedro and Ekitike a couple of years ago before they became >60m players.
