  1. Same Aye, and that's the problem. Well aye, was always going to be the case
  2. ****Actions occurring in extra-time count towards player points. However, penalty shoot-outs have no effect on player points. I've got 10 points from Cesar for penalty saves atm. Raj
  3. wow, where did dmc1892 (don't know which poster?) come from, to be within a few points of the lead after one match in this round? Don't think I've seen him near the top before. 5 Brazil and 5 Chile players?
  4. How does he rate on the de jongmeter? Bang average allrounder or does he have at least one attribute? He rates highly imo. Before joining Feyenoord he never pulled up any trees. He'll be turning 29 in July. He's a perfect fit for Feyenoord, but I don't back him to reproduce his good form over the past two seasons elsewhere. Still, Feyenoord and him will want to cash in on what has been a rich vein of form. Hopefully for Southampton it's been Koeman who has been the deciding factor in getting the best out of him, but I doubt it.
  5. They've still got a really good team, depending on what Osvaldo is doing there could be their striker replacement. All they need is a half decent left back and a creative midfielder, you could do that on the continent for at most £20m. Hell they could bring in Ashley Cole and frank Lampard and probably be better off for a season. Suppose It depends on how well the manager adapts, he's a bit hit and miss isn't he? Mostly hit tbf
  6. Bruno Martins Indi to FC Porto for 8.5m euros is a done deal. Southampton after Feyenoord forward Pelle.
  7. Of course you don't, it's bollocks. It's not though really, is it? They pay his wages. The Uruguayan FA get to call him up for an international tournament that makes the organisers, and by consequence them, millions. He acts like an arse playing for the association, and gets banned from playing not only internationally but also for the club, who are the ones who continue to shell out his wages (approx. 3 million). I agree with the sentence btw (including the 4 month ban from all football activities), but if this was an important Newcastle player I would be livid at the player first and foremost for acting the way he did, but also FIFA for handing out a punishment that hits us harder than the association that called him up in the first place.
  8. Flip, it's not because other punishments were too light (Pepe's for example) that Suarez' is too harsh. Objectively, he's bloody lucky to get away with this sentence considering he has previous - at the very least it should have included a very long suspended ban if he ever does it again. The only party that can feel hard done by is Liverpool, because this happened when he wasn't even playing for them and probably affects them more than it will Suarez himself.
  9. I wasn't being completely serious anyway. There's going to be plenty of swings and roundabouts, especially in the later stages of the competition, even if everybody will pick more or less the same usual suspects at this stage. Simply who you captain for the final could make up a 30 point gap, let alone which team you back to win/keep a clean sheet.
  10. I notice the pressure is getting to you Rich. You know what happens when you play it safe whilst you're ahead, don't you Pards..? I mean Huggs.
  11. If we all have essentially the same team from now on, there is only one outcome. People with some catching up to do (so everybody except Rich basically) will have to be a bit more creative and hope for the best.
