Wait, is he implying the cancer came after Jonas was told to find a new club?
-
Aye, I don't know how this can reasonably defended. Jonas was definitely on the decline, but he had been one of the first names on the team sheet under Pardew and had always given his all on the pitch (again, the quality may not have been there anymore, but his work rate cannot be questioned imo). Then to come out and say he was shipped out for "footballing reasons" when he was fighting cancer is just disgraceful beyond belief.
-
Wat? Nobody is arguing he should be in the first team, are they? Are they saying when Pardew found out Gutiérrez had cancer he ditched him and told him to find another club? If so, I find that to be an unlikely scenario. If by 'they' you mean Jonas, then yes they are.

Makes you wonder why Norwich loaned a player who was (almost certainly) battling cancer at the time.
-
So he's on about the discipline of their front line? Still a mind boggling comparison to make.
-
You must have misheard. No way can he have said that.

I guess you would say it was Unbelievable. Nah, the five wins in a row just when he was hanging in the ropes though, that is/was unbelievable. Now we've got at least another year of this clown bigging himself up at every occasion to look forward to.

Winning mentality, playing like Bayern Munich, crediting himself for hoying in the youngsters in the deep end and them staying afloat. The massive ego is definitely back

Funny coming from you, seeing as you have no qualms about ridiculing other countries' leagues at every possibility. In recent years the Bundesliga has grown massively in stature and international appeal. Certainly I know people over here who follow it much more closely than the Premier League these days. It's quite obviously becoming a stronger competition every year too, as evidenced by German clubs' results in Europe and the strength of their national team largely made up of players earning their corn domestically. I love Newcastle United and the Premier League, but then I am biased, not least because of my dislike of everything German. Objectively their football has come on leaps and bounds in the last decade. The fact that they've been able to develop so much whilst respecting their fans' interest is very creditable and certainly deviates from what we've seen in England unfortunately.

This is certainly debatable from the absolute dross the premier league has been this season. The general footballing standard is better in the Bundesliga, even if the Premier League is traditionally a more attractive proposition and able to attract better players. The Bundesliga offers a generally better standard of football with considerably less resources, I'd say. Absolutely, a better product all round really. Why not support a team from there, then? What a weird thing to say/ask. I support Newcastle since I lived there for two years. Maybe if I lived in Germany and had some match going mates I could grow a fondness for a German team.

I think most players have their critics tbf. Not sure if being a Geordie has anything to do with it. -

I think we've done 6 year contracts before. Sissoko was 6.5 when he joined if I remember correctly.
-
How long is his contract for? .com has it as tbc Transfermarkt has it as 30.06.2019 (http://www.transfermarkt.com/ayoze-perez/profil/spieler/246968). Don't know where they got that info from mind.

After such a long time in the English game it's amazing how much time Vuckic appears to need when he gets in a position to shoot.
