  1. We should have had a result from this match. I hope they build on the showing in our next two matches. Not bad for our first time back in 36 years, but we should have at least a point on the board. Belgium were rank in the first half.
  2. This kid is special. No matter what happens, immensely proud that a 22 year old led the charge and this youth movement have earned their time on the world stage. Culture and inclusion made this happen, GO CANADA! Remarkable story, too: Spoiled for good coaches between Eddie and Herds.
  3. It is, I can't tell if we're going to get hammered by Belgium, nick a draw or win a tight one.
  4. Yup, Hakimi, Ziyech are good players and they have a decent squad overall. Group F is tough if you look at it objectively.
  5. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/canadas-davies-im-ready-to-start-the-first-game-180258650.html Great news he's back and ready to go. I'm with you, the one thing the Belgian squad has over us, is experience. Once the nerves settle and Canada grows into the game, anything can happen. Like others have mentioned, think the pace of Davies, David and Larin could cause the Belgians some difficulty and create chances. I'm hoping we are able to compete and not park the bus the entire match.
  6. Surprised it's not treated with the same scrutiny tobacco companies are.
  7. Looks like they were trying to, @AyeDubbleYoo: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12645911/premier-league-seeks-clubs-backing-for-gambling-sponsor-ban
  8. Because he’s a hack and everyone knows it, including himself.
  9. Inject it. Herdman is a good egg, his stock is rising too. Hoping we have a good tournament and Jonathan David is a transfer target come January.
  10. I'd be shocked if Eales wasn't leading a CX vision and Branding exercise right now as part of his commercial oversight. If we get into Europe next year, expect some of the changes introduced in the spring, summer when we tour pre-season before qualifying rounds and the season begin.
  11. This is great, thanks for posting. What the updates are accomplishing is brand scale beyond traditional means, like the kit, printed materials, etc. Most of these updates are to comply with digital brand requirements and scaling for various screen states, sizes etc. Some of the previous designs might not be accessible as well, where simplifying the visual language of the club creates more inclusivity in growing and retaining a fanbase. In terms of iteration, it's quite the departure from the previous badging, which accomplished a good portion of what I mentioned in my first paragraph. Juve has some English influence in it's establishing origins, no? Trying to think why they'd have the lion and crown, but am too lazy to Google. I suppose they might have wanted to distance from that legacy in becoming more of a distinct entity.
  12. 9 in 15, 3 Assists and 22 years old. He'd be mint as Wilson's replacement and he pairs well with someone like Isak. (See his play with Cyle Larin on the Canadian National Team)
  13. I get what you're saying, but you can also argue managing a team like Chelsea is very similar to England. A squad full of mostly international players that get selected for their country. Managing ego, European play, Cups, squad rotation to keep star players happy and adjusting systems to player strength is the England job most of the year. Potter might actually fancy the step back after running the Chelsea juggernaut. It's all hyperbole at this point, as I imagine he'll come good with Chelsea post WC.
  14. He's also put his shares in the shop window. My guy is bent as fuck.
  15. Moshiri strikes me as a bit of a chancer. That is the dumbest fucking bet I've seen...."You want a bog named after you in the east stand? £400k and people will be pissing all over your name!" How some of these characters get to Billionaire status is very head scratching, including our former tat baron.
  16. I think we'll be in most games and might edge some results. Will be a tighter group than some might expect.
