  1. Everton haven’t looked hopeless, as they hit the bar.
  2. “Arm in unnatural position” What’s the natural position your arm should be in when the ball is deflected onto it?
  3. Is it safe to say the league isn’t as entertaining as it was last year at this stage of the season? Can’t be arsed to look, but feel like there were some canny upsets and the table was inverted. The league has reverted to status quo. Luton deservedly level.
  4. Neto with a great run and thundering finish. He’s been very good this season.
  5. Watching Palace v Fulham, can see why we were in for Anderson. Solid defender, big lad and decent with the ball at his feet. Have a feeling we’ll be back in for him at some point.
  6. Watching the ref do a bounce test for pitch saturation in the AC Milan match. Never seen this before.
  7. Same. I ghosted the forum, YouTube football content, you name it, I was fucking gutted, man. After last season's losses, the manner in which we lost against them, Klopp grinding his fucking teeth, I wanted to beat them more than anything. We were well on our way too!
  8. I'd say our biggest problem in midfield is the pedestrian way in which the better teams walk through it on the counter. Unless you mean creatively changing the formation to stop this happening. Anderson is much further along in his development than Miley, which your sample size clearly demonstrates.
  9. I'm not sure why some are giving you pelters on here for stating the obvious. We ALL felt robbed from the Liverpool games last year because the effort matched the performance, plus VAR did us dirty. We were pretty good against Liverpool for the better part of the game this year, but came undone with individual errors and some good finishing by Darwin Núñez (who hasn't scored in any other match, of course. ) Felt like we used an underdog spirit to get ourselves up for the games and Howe has probably tried to shift that mindset mentally, tactically, while also integrating the quality we bought over the summer. The weirdest thing for me is we had a good pre season, which built up to a good home performance in our first match and has now come unravelled since that Liverpool defeat. I honestly didn't think we were that bad against Man City, but really came undone against Brighton. Regardless, I think we'll crack on from here and get much better as the season wears on.
  10. You need to replace X with Twitter, @Paully. Get home safe!
  11. I and I think most on here are expressing frustration knowing that this group of lads has played better than what we're currently witnessing on the pitch. A point away to AC Milan is fantastic, they did well to earn that in a tremendous amount of pressure on the grand stage. We'll start clicking at some point and I trust Eddie to have learned from this and make the adjustments needed going forward. It's absolutely brilliant seeing us talked about on a Tuesday in the Champions League. You could tell Hoddle and a few others were rooting us on or glad to see us back after 20 years. It's really some trajectory to be even having these conversations from two years ago.
  12. He's 20 and shredded: He's only going to get bigger and better.
  13. Need a formation change or a tweak to stop them cutting us open at will.
  14. I'd lean more towards experience than better players, they're well drilled and comfortable for the occasion.

    Anthony Gordon

Carlo noticed him first? Always thought it was Rafa.
  16. Yikes, they've over leveraged themselves into oblivion. It's worse than we ever were under Ashley. @1878 & @Neil, sorry you have to go through this, lads. It's fucking shameful and I hope you get your club back one day.

    Anthony Gordon

What I love about him succeeding here is the connection to Rafa putting him in the first team at Everton. I watched a handful of games when Rafa managed there and it was evident the kid was a raw talent. Gordon and Richarlison were the only players with positive influence on the pitch. i remember discussing with the Everton lads who used to post on here how Gordon wasn't intimidated by the pace of the game or more imposing senior players getting in his face . To go from this image, to him arguably being our best player so far this year is unbelievable. I've loved this signing from the beginning and I can't wait to see him lift us a trophy and he will, I'm sure of it.
  18. That’s looking grim for Everton, I wouldn’t be very optimistic about the future of the club as a fan. Did they sell everything to fund the new stadium or has Moshiri pocketed the money?

Sing the song, sure, but printing a banner to string across the bridge is a bit much for me is all I meant. Their money, though, so fair to do as they like.
  20. Be good at Rugby or Field Goals.
