It doesn't seem impossible that we might score

Nice footwork, Osula
-
Bruno already looking absolutely knackered
-
So little desire to defend any of those corners.

Osula surely deserves his place, then Elanga and Barnes were both absolutely dire against Bournemouth. Do appreciate the desire to see him implement a different system but not really seeing the "wtf is that line-up!?" shout. Everyone's basically as ineffective as each other ATM so it's a moot point imo.

Is the pant-shitting just because of Burn for Hall?
-
So now we've got someone leaking the team. Always a good sign.

A great thing for a big club after ten mostly extremely lean years. Last season was so-close-but-so-far, but prior to that it's been consecutive relegations, the doldrums of being bottom half in the sixth tier, burning through managers and bad owners. Even after promotion it was a couple of dire seasons before the new owners came in and got a lot right. Unfortunately my football-based sacrifices this season have been limited to playing 5aside Tuesdays and watching Newcastle when I can, meaning I've seen next to fuck all of York this season, which I'm gutted about. Looking forward to taking in some Football League next season though!

fucking hell. I feel for the team but good grief, nice self-sabotage lads.

Anyone watching? Where's all this added time coming from?
-
113 goals across the season but none today. Fucking ergh.

More than happy to concede that Europe is long gone now as a target so now it's all about vibes going into the summer and seeing if the players still want to do it for this manager. With that in mind I'd probably take just a gutsy and commited performance. Expectations obviously in the floor in terms of a result but still hope that they're not gonna phone it in for him.

Absolutely, very exciting times. Ironically there's probably an argument in all of this (i.e. the heightened drama) to keep it as one-up. Hopefully whoever comes second gets the job done in the play-offs. York were in that position last year after only a marginally less impressive season. You watching it, @John P?

I don't have double standards, man. I really am loathe to open this can of worms again but my view is that our whole season has been designed to fail by the financial structures we're beholden too. Throw on top of that the virtually unmanageable schedule (for a squad of our size), relentless injuries to critical players and Wissa's absolutely disastrous output and the domestic campaign has just never got going. Now we're facing a perfect storm of confidence being in tatters + nothing tangible to play for, meaning the relaxed schedule is literally too little, too late. Howe isn't unaccountable but he isn't the architect of the downfall; he's just failed to halt the slide. So going back to my original post in this, saying "he's going to get us a 16th/17th placed finish" is fucking stupid.

You're simultaneously talking out of your arse whilst putting words in my mouth. I've been bleating on for months and months about what I consider to be the principal reasons for our failures this season. I'm not going to bore everyone with them again, but suffice to say I personally afford the manager and the vast majority of the players a fair amount of grace.
-
Literally so far away from what I'm saying that I can't be arsed to respond beyond just this.
-
He was the architect of our success in previous seasons, so that's obviously fair enough to say "he won us a cup." He hasn't been the architect of our downfall this season. Stupid to think that he has been. His failure has been in not finding the solutions to the various factors which have beaten us down. Just stupid and unnecessary cuntery towards an absolute legend.
-
I was rolling my eyes at "He's", as if he's solely responsible. Fucking stupid.

What lesson have we supposedly not learned by trying to sign James Trafford?
