Is that right.

What i was gonna say... I don't want us to lose, but i won't be bothered if we do.
-
Glenn Roeder will be Newcastle manager on September the 1st. If he isn't - ban me.
-
Might as well put that in the 'what are you wanking over thread' in general chat for Gejon to spunk his load. He's been doing the big sell on the Aussie for so long I'm starting to think he might be his Agent. Well if Gejon's his agent, i'm his wife.

We really should be looking to see how Owen and Martins do next season, before even having a merest of thought about selling Oba. There's absolutely no need to. Replacing Martins and Bent for Martins and Owen? Same diff. Stick with what we've got! Viduka on a free for cover.

All kits that have material that sticks to your body should be burned, imo.

Can't say i'm too sure on Hypiia myself... He's very experienced yes - but he is a bit too high up in the age bracket, seeing as he'll be 34 come the end of next season. And has he not been that good for Liverpool recently?
-
I think he'll probably have a selection of clubs to choose from in fairness...

Owen and Martins didn't play as a two. Either had Shola or Sib directly behind them. So there was a two, but with a player in the hole To be honest, Shola was a centre-forward, he was far more advanced that Sibierski. And Sibi was just plain s***. Surely more potential in Owen-Martins than Owen-Shola-Martins. Besides, personally i'd like to see Owen and Shola playing together. Martins is wankered and he was s**** against Reading. It's hardly crucial that Owen and Martins start bonding straight away - they could play against Watford and there's the entirety of pre-season to establish an understanding. So will this work? Milner- Dyer- N'Zogbia - Luque Owen Martins Considring no one of the doubtfull players pass's the fitness test. Well, Luque's a turd, Dyer needs fucking dropping, and N'Zogbia can't play centre-midfield for fuck... but other than that. I dunno... we'll just have to see what the fitness state is come Saturday. I wouldn't like to pick a team until i see the squad, tbh. -

Suppose. Still, Owen on the left-wing (which is basically what he was doing come the end against Reading) sounds as shit as fuck. -
Whosat?

Cos that was really effective against Reading. -
Aye, i think i remember seeing something like that. Either way - i'm fairly certain that Wenger has said he can go if he wants...
-
Aye thought as much.

What he say? "I hear Sidwell and Distin are in the bag" Sorry, i'm being a moose. But what exactly was that in reply to? Just wanting a bit of clarification, that's all.
-
Well, would definitely be chuffed with those two. And tbh - if this is all true, "they're done deals" - then Roeder deserves credit for tieing these up so quickly. Will be great going into the very beginning of pre-season with atleast two new arrivals. But then, categorically this is still just speculation.
-
Davies has already proved himself to be a good defender, though. It's not such a huge gamble really.
-
Distin really would be such good business on a free. Roeder's free to buy which ever other centre-back he likes then. Two CBs for the price of one, with atleast one of them being fairly good; who he decides to open the wallet for remains to be seen. But seriously - great transfer work undoubtedly if we do that. Get a freebie in Distin and pay good money for another good centre-back. Very un-Newcastle, but good stuff!
-
What he say?
-
Counter-balanced by the signing of Campbell, tbh. All hypothetical of course. Sylvain Distin - Free Curtis Davies - £8-10m (possibly even £6/7m if West Brom don't get promoted)* Leighton Baines - £6-8m Would be my preference. Not a hope in hellers of getting Campbell; Redknapp laughed it off today. *Though another preference is actually Luisao... and i'm being naughty because i've seen fairly little of him. But what i have seen, he looks a really good centre-half.

Great shout, tbh. Not being sarcastic either, he's a good player who'll get better. Worst the carr IMO, my friends who support Arsenal say he is the worst right back in the team, the only reason he played this season was because of all the injurys they had this season in their back line. Is that really your opinion, then?

Great shout, tbh. Not being sarcastic either, he's a good player who'll get better. EDIT: Although, i don't feel we need to spend any significant sort of money on right-back. There are certainly more pressing needs and we have adequate cover after Nobby. But i wouldn't be completely disappointed if we were to sign Hoyte (we won't like), because he is a good player.
